It isn't officially a parade, but that is what what it looks like on the surface. It is officially the nations largest political demonstration that is held every year to honor veterans. It started as a POW/MIA demonstration and brings a quarter to a half million (maybe more) motorcycles and probably an equal number of supporters to Washington DC every year. Somehow, over the years it has taken on various meanings, including a Welcome Home celebration.
