I don't see this as an issue for the government to be involved in. I believe the solution for those wrong accused to sue them in bankruptcy.

of course criminals will have fit over it;. they dont want to be caught.
 
The obvious solution is for anyone wrongly accused to sue them for defamation of character. I'd say fifty million dollars in punitive damages is a good starting point, though ten times that wouldn't be inappropriate.
 
Why not pass a law banning facial recognition software for private companies and government?
