The government says Rite Aid used a flawed and biased facial recognition database that incorrectly identified thousands of people as possible shoplifters.

cant stop shoplifters this way .make them mad. there is slight chance they recognition could be wrong.

of course criminals will have fit over it;. they dont want to be caught.

The obvious solution is for anyone wrongly accused to sue them for defamation of character. I'd say fifty million dollars in punitive damages is a good starting point, though ten times that wouldn't be inappropriate.
