Romney is the single-biggest flip flopper I've honestly ever witnessed.

Ryan is touting fiscal conservatism - while his voting record is that of a BIG GOVERNMENT SPENDER.

People are complaining about Obama's rhetoric, meanwhile they're the same ones who are birthers, called him a terrorist lover, nazi, commie, socialist, che lover, etc. and even some like to talk about his wife's fat ass.

People like to pretend they're mad a Romney's wealth, while pretending the Obama's and Bidens aren't in the one percent, and that Obama didn't appoint the same cronies to his financial positions, that came from the recently collapsed financial sector.





If you think there's a real choice in 2012 - - - - there isn't.

Romney would be a continuation of Obama was a continuation of Bush was a continuation of Clinton who is now aweful friendly with Bush.

I'm not a Libertarian, but to make fun of them for "wasting a Vote" is the epitome of why Washington has been Business as usual for the fat cats with the money, and subsequently the blank check from our Creditors. If/When Romney wins, I fully expect to see every, or at least 99% of Conservatives on this board DEFEND ALL OF HIS DEBT RAISES, all of his deficits, his Economy, etc. and blame it back to Obama like they had SUCH a problem with everyone here doing to "bOOOOOOSH."

Its going to get worse before it gets better. Until people realize you cannot get something from nothing, that things that are "free" are not really free at all, and that taxing the living crap out of only 1% of the population cannot sustain the current system we will continue on this path.

Sooner or later the ability to fund what we are doing will run out. It is already happening at the local level in the blue states. Soon you may see it on a state-wide level.

Only when the shit really hits the fan will any real form of change, in either direction, statism or libertarianism actually have a chance of occuring.

To the OP, there is a lot of validity to what you say...

BUt elections almost always end up being the lesser of two evils.

It would be nice if we had a viable third party, but the electoral college makes that a practical impossibility. A third party would just cause the election to be thrown into the House, where they'll just pick one of the two main parties, anyway.

Oh, I'm not saying that there's some magic bullet way around it - I was more-so just tired of everyone pretending that there's (rhetoric aside) some big stark difference in the way Romney's Government will function versus Obama's, versus Bush's and so-on. There's not, yet people are perfectly fine hurling all types of insults at each other over their differences and clawing for their "side," it's fucking spooky and I have this little hope inside me that these people don't behave like this in real life.

I already know that at least CrusaderFrank has no courage of his convictions, off the boards. I'm wondering how many others are the same when they come across a person of differing views.





Most of these people weren't raised right in that sense. They're probably totally cordial in real life, when they're being seen, but once "anonymnity" and the internet comes about and there's no real "rules" here or etiquette, they're soo000oo0oo0o fast to just be dickheads to each other.
