Some pundits are wondering if the GOP will attempt to co-opt the populist message of the Democratic Party. After all, liberal initiatives that were on the ballots in the recent election, like raising the minimum wage and background checks, passed in double digits and Republican policies like "Personhood" failed miserably.

My feeling is they may try, but they will fail miserably.

The Republicans already have a brand they are thrilled to own. Which positions will they say they have versus their traditional positions on:

Food stamps for children and school lunches
Healthcare
Living wage
Education
Wage disparity
Subsidies for large corporations
Jobs moving to China
The environment
Minority relationships
Climate change
Refugee children fleeing danger
Science
Farm subsidies
Overseas wars
Supporting the veterans
Contraception
Infrastructure maintenance

its all-out war on the non-rich again, :eusa_doh: This will help non-repub candidates in '16 if they survive the Republicans war on America.

Gee, R-Derp...I was getting worried! I hadn't seen this same post from you in DAYS!

get ready for a whole bunch of show votes (votes on legislation that they know will go nowhere :eusa_shhh: ), wasting a whole bunch of $$$ to pay for keeping the lights on" during those show votes, and smarmy campaign commercials by Republicorp based on those show votes.

if repubs get any more liberal or moderate they'll just lose more Conservative voters 'rdean' !! What good is a moderate repub party to a Conservative person ??

Well, the bright side is that Repubs will become a permanent minority party in the near future. Vanilla birth-rates just aren't there for them.

This shit started in 2008. The Republicans control both houses if congress, and get this, 31 governorships to Democrat 17.

Hard to believe 111th congress had 59 Dem senators and 255 Representatives.

Now of course the count has been reversed.

Yes, they might even go far as to de-criminalize murder. Hey, we're already 1/2 way there with infanticide now funded with your tax dollars.
Why de-criminalize murder in Red States? When they can kill young blacks simply by saying they were scared?

And one Democratic President.

So Republicans control both houses. Now what? Why is their approval rating in single digits? How do they plan to help the country?

If we could only get Republicans to answer questions. Imagine. How low would their approval rating be then? They lost the popular vote in 5 of the last 6 presidential elections. Let them be honest about what they actually want to do. But of course, making that wish is as likely as wishing they actually liked science, children, minorities and education.

When two thirds of voters don't vote, it tells you the six years of slash and burn by Republicans worked. Come on, name a GOP policy in the last 40 years you are proud of. One that helped the majority of Americans.

Since women are the majority, Equal Pay for Equal Work helped the majority of Americans and Republicans voted against it. And that was the first piece of legislation that Obama signed.

Don't forget 31 governorships compared to 17 for the Dems.

Why don't you ask a Republican that question? I think you both suck, I'm not interested in arguing their case.

"Equal Pay for Equal Work" has nothing to do with women, it has to do with socialism and government power. Which is why liberal women support it and conservative/libertarian women think they are idiots.

The problem dean is your victim mentality. Companies compete for good employees just like employees compete for jobs. Stop living in the world of fear, grow a pair and take care of your own life instead of running to Harry Reid to do it for you. The reality is he just thinks you're his bitch, he doesn't respect you in the morning. He just said he would to get you to say yes.
