It seems like more Republicans are having brushes with laws. Chris Collins and Duncan Hunter are under indictment. Rod Blum is under investigation by the House ethics committee. Blum is already in deep trouble as a incumbent. A judge removed the name of a independent from Rep Taylor's Virginia seat. Apparently Taylor's staff helped collect signatures to get the independent on the ballot to split the anti-Taylor vote. However a large number of signatures were apparently forged. There is a ongoing criminal investigation and members of Taylor's staff has taken the fifth.

Ex-Detroit mayor Kwame Kilpatrick lands in NJ prison with a camp

After four years of being locked up under medium-security, former Detroit mayor Kwame Kilpatrick has landed in a softer prison environment.

According to the Bureau of Prisons, Kilpatrick, 47, is now serving his 28-year corruption sentence in New Jersey at the Federal Correctional Institution at Fort Dix, a minimum security prison with 4,302 inmates. Of those, nearly 300 live at the nearby low-security prison camp, similar to the one that former Detroit City Councilwoman Monica Conyers served her 3-year bribery sentence at in West Virginia.
