Sen. Tim Scott Says 'It's Good To Be First' As The Only GOP Senator To Sign On To Anti-Lynching Bill

On CBS's "Face The Nation," Sen. Tim Scott had a difficult time trying to explain why no other Republican has signed on to the anti-lynching bill that he has put forth.

The GOP is 90% white.

This is Tim Scott:

Do we need any further explanation?

WTF is an 'anti-lynching Bill', and why the hell do we need it? (Sorry, can't watch the clip.)

We have laws against assault, laws against attempted murder, and laws against murder...that pretty much covers it.

We also have dumbass laws to punish people for what is in someone's heart when they commit certain crimes - we call these 'Hate' crimes. I think these are ridiculous. As I pointed out, we have laws already covering everything. Want them to spend more time in jail? Sentence them for longer time in jail.

So, let's say Timmy goes out and lynches a black person. Not only can he be charged with murder, not only can he be charged with a 'hate crime', but he can be charged for breaking the 'Anti-Lynching' law?

How about the 'Anti-Pipe-To-The-Back-of-the-Head law...?

murder "with the INTENT of creating violence"? Isn't even written correctly. Could apply if one person holds a camera streaming to the Net while the other person chooses an elderly white person to "knock out". And it ends in a homicide. There'd be more black folks prosecuted under this than white folks. One of those "symbolic" things like Eagle hood ornament.

Tim Scott is finding it harder and harder to pretend he’s not in a party of white supeemacist losers

Without a soul, can you still call it "living"?

He doesn't need to pretend. He isn't a Democrat

So no it would not apply to this:

Trump supporters can sue San Jose cops for attacks by protesters, court says

You want it to only apply to what ever the far left deems is a "lynching".

.....

Why don't you establish WHY anyone should have signed it in the first place? God, what politicians seem to be wasting their time on these days shows how pointless our system has become.

Um, I think murder is already against the law, whether it be by gunshot or lynching. Oh how the left yearns to return to the good old days of the civil rights days. No one told them this is the 21st fucking century I guess.

I'd be interested to hear why Tim Scott thinks it's necessary. HE's not a crackpot. MAYBE -- because the GOP is gaining black support -- this is a cynical political move to INCREASE that "immigration" trend of blacks going to the GOP.. Sounds like "outreach" rather than anything lawfully meaningful.

That's how they roll in an election year. And anti-lynching law would be another point or two from the black community.. The DEMS would do this in a heartbeat.
