I do believe that Dr. James Hansen has done exactly that for his whole career. In his 1981 paper where he correctly predicts the opening of the Northwest passage in the early 21st century, to the droughts in the southwest of our nation, and those in central Asia. That paper also includes the math for his conclusions.
