That kind of heat is nothing new for Australia I don't even know why they're bothering with the headline since the record They're crowing about is only a record because it's one tenth of a degree higher than the last recorded high temperature and so the spectacular headline is for nothing. It's just a crock of bull s*** like almost everything that comes out of their mouths.

As far as warming is concerned it is to be expected because the sun is reaching the transition phase from hydrogen to helium fusion which will cause much more heat to be cast in our direction. It's a very slow transition but it has begun. Yes! The sun is getting hotter and will eventually destroy the Earth nothing can be done about this.

It doesn't work like that. Global warming and solar thermal nuclear heat transfer are two totally different subjects. One is the inevitable outcropping of the other and while one may have some small remedy in human choices there is no remedy for the other. Try to remember that heat and temperature are two completely different things.

The main reason for the heatwave is known as a positive Indian Ocean Dipole (IOD), where sea surface temperatures are warmer in the western half of the ocean than in the east, and the difference between the two is the strongest in 60 years, the BBC reported.

Periodic natural forcing... These oscillations of ocean conditions have been around a LONG TIME.. Problem is, maybe they don't coincide with certain calendar dates for many cycles where the weather is also promoting peak heat....

So it might a couple hundred years before a peak coincidence is reached between the IOD and weather conditions...

Yeah, it's hot.. But a large number of those Australian fires this year have been INTENTIONAL ARSON.. Not Global Weirding...
