Up for sale, supposedly a M1911A1 made by Singer, 1941....... There were only 500 made and there's only 2153 still left in circulation........ ;)
They're only asking $250,000.00.........

I had once owned a sewing machine that looked pretty close to the sewing machine in your images, but my sewing machine was made by the Colt corporation & was called a Gold Cup model. It "stitched more accurately when a pro was 'stitching' with it than I could stitch with it. He definitely proved that the Gold Cup sewing machine had what he called "KEYHOLE" stitching capability!!!

I have a 1943 made Ithaca.

The person I got it from claims it is a Vietnam brought back from a relative. I don't know if the story is true or not. When I was over there we were not allowed to claim 1911s as a war trophy even if captured from the enemy. If so that pistol could have been used in WWII, Korea and Vietnam.

Please clarify. If only 500 were made, how are there still 2153 still circulating. I have the Colt version of the same gun.
People who have made non-Singer models look in almost all respects like the original Singers (fakes) or have simply claimed the model they have is a Singer when it's not. AKA con men or just clueless people. My 2153 reference is tongue-in-cheek.
