We've had lots of rain here in the UK, pretty well every day since Christmas.

It's ruining farming land, businesses and homes.

We're told not to worry though - global warming is a myth .. :eusa_shhh:

Best wishes,

Graham

I remember reading that a lot of what is now farmland in the England part of the UK used to be lowland marshes....especially around Glastonbury.

We sure could use some of that here in the west and southwest of the USA!!!!!

So sorry to hear about what's happening in the UK...
Relief may be on the way for parts of CA...

"An “Atmospheric River” – sometimes referred to as a “Pineapple Express” hits the Bay Area starting Friday night and lasting through the weekend."

"There will not be much if any creek and stream flooding because rivers are running so low, but this much rainfall always causes urban and street flooding.
The storm should bring significant snowfall to the Sierra above 7,000 feet."

Above excerpts from: ‘Pineapple Express’ Could Bring Weekend Flooding To Bay Area « CBS San Francisco
.

So there were no floods before "global warming". Amazing irrefutable proof right there.

Oh no. Global Warming is not a myth at all. Mans effect on it though....that's the mythical part.

OH, Graham, we're having the same in the Piney Woods of Texas! But we had such an awful drought 2 years ago, the entire state was a prairie fire waiting to happen. We somehow escaped the incendiary aspect on our farm, but lost a dozen century-old trees. There was nothing sadder than looking out back and watching 100-ft. tall pines and 90-ft. oaks turning red before fall (their death color).

Nature seems to go through phases, but hope the rains bring the prettiest flowers England, Scotland, and Ireland have ever seen, as harbingers of hope and promise that only the bad was washed away and that the good stays. Mother nature is just scrubbing up.

Hope the sun comes out with every blessing soon in the UK. :)

The weather forecast isn't promising for sunbathing for the next ten days, though. It's waterproof wear and rubber boot weather for the next several days in the UK: http://www.netweather.tv/index.cgi?action=10day;ct=4227~British%20Isles

Think I'll skip looking at our forecast. I have 100 packages of flower seeds to distribute over the pastures, and they were soggy the last time I walked out there. Maybe it's a good time to scatter seeds...
