I routinely hear the anti-abortion crowd say they are opposed to abortion because the fetus is human life and it should be protected.
Does this extend to the moment of conception? If so, wouldnt' that mean you'd have to make birth control pills illegal? A birth control pill, if taken by a woman (property of the U.S. Government) after conception but before implantation, can cause the embryo to abort by preventing it from attaching to the uterine wall (property of the U.S. Government)
Wouldn't it also mean that a woman who went out for a night of hard drinking that resulted in the pregnancy terminating would be - at least - guilty of negligent homicide even if she didn't know she was pregnant? Wouldn't it mean that if she knew she was pregnant she'd be guilty of manslaughter or worse?
