one word, pushbutton they have an enormous standing men and women army, but because of tactical weapons, that army is archaic and useless.
someone on my trail today used the expression pushbutton war,
we were talking about nkorea and the lunatics kim.
Pyongyang is 121 miles from Seoul. in terms of global thermal nuclear war that's not a great buffer zone.
it would be country suicide on all levels. china has massed troops on the china nk border (probably more secure than ours right now), but those troops are there to stop refugees.

how does this standoff arrangement affect American Politics ??.
