If you want to make an argument that global warming is not caused by the burning of fossil fuels, then you would at least have a more legitimate potential argument. But denying that our planet is getting warmer is just stupidity. There are a number of countries in the Pacific that will need to be evacuated in pretty short time as they are going to disappear under the rising ocean.

Here's my take and I warn you it is about as pessemistic as you can get.

Do I think human influence is creating climate change? Sure. But it doesn't matter. All the proof you can produce to show this is happening, doesn't matter. If you could show just one thing humanity could do to turn this around, just one little thing and it would fix all of the problems - we wouldn't do it. And it is not just one little thing, it is a complete change of attitude. A change in our very nature - and it isn't going to happen.

So if there is a cliff we are about to go over, hold onto your hat. Because we are going over no matter what. When we do, we will not be prepared, no precautions will be taken and we will react as if there had been no forewarning of any kind. While it is happening, we won't cooperate with each other. After it has happened, we will adjust only through violence. Nothing anyone says, no evidence which can be produced, no scientific proof that can be clearly shown is going to have any affect on it.
