EPA Official's 'Philosophy' On Oil Companies: 'Crucify Them' - Just As Romans Crucified Conquered Citizens
Inhofe quoted a little-watched video from 2010 of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) official, Region VI Administrator Al Armendariz, admitting that EPAs general philosophy is to crucify and make examples of oil and gas companies.
In the video, Administrator Armendariz says:
I was in a meeting once and I gave an analogy to my staff about my philosophy of enforcement, and I think it was probably a little crude and maybe not appropriate for the meeting, but Ill go ahead and tell you what I said:
It was kind of like how the Romans used to, you know, conquer villages in the Mediterranean. Theyd go in to a little Turkish town somewhere, theyd find the first five guys they saw and theyd crucify them.
Then, you know, that town was really easy to manage for the next few years.
Not long after Administrator Armendariz made these comments in 2010, EPA targeted US natural gas producers in Pennsylvania, Texas and Wyoming.
In all three of these cases, EPA initially made headline-grabbing statements either insinuating or proclaiming outright that the use of hydraulic fracturing by American energy producers was the cause of water contamination, but in each case their comments were premature at best and despite their most valiant efforts, they have been unable to find any sound scientific evidence to make this link.

FOLKS any wonder that this administration HATES big businesses, big OIL , big insurance, anything that has GENERATED profits THAT has generated TAX revenue!
ARE they really that STUPID???
Or do they really want to see "America Fail"!
Salazar: 'No one knows' if US headed to $9/gal gas
but warned that "we do not control the price of oil."
A BIG f...king LIE!
In a clear signal that the Obama administration is shifting the government's approach to energy exploration on public lands, Interior Secretary Ken Salazar yesterday canceled oil and gas leases on 77 parcels of federal land after opponents said the drilling would blight Utah's scenic southeastern corner.
Salazar's decision -- which reverses the Bush administration's move to allow drilling on about 130,000 acres near pristine areas such as Nine Mile Canyon, Arches National Park and Dinosaur National Monument -- is one of a series of steps that the new administration and congressional Democrats are planning to reshape federal regulation of drilling, mining, lumbering and other resource-tapping activities.
