President Trump signs VA accountability bill

Great, he signed it........ woopti-fuckin'-do. Now the real problem will be applying it long term. The VA has a long history (like every other department) of initially jumping when told to jump then when no one is looking reverting back to what they were doing before the changes were made. Not so much because they want to revert back but because out of necessity.

The VA is horribly understaffed already with up to 43,000 vacancies nationwide (by one report) mostly in the direct care medical area and the DC Headquarters supposedly has 3000 openings.
Wonder how Trump's January hiring freeze will affect service now that they'll possibly toss even more out on the street.

The VA is a political football and neither side truly does anything to fix the real problems of typical government waste due to government created inefficiency, staffing and cooperation between each state's VA system. When the VA screws up or fails at something we should be blaming our lawmakers who created the problem in the first place and holding them to account not allowing them to make scapegoats of the VA personnel.

Democrats run to their safe spaces as Republicans use 'THE 'A' WORD' - ACCOUNTABILITY.

:p
