Post-Election Stress Disorder (PESD) is a mental health condition that's triggered by a terrifying event — either experiencing it or witnessing it. Symptoms may include flashbacks, nightmares and severe anxiety, as well as uncontrollable thoughts about the event.
For example, sufferers of PESD may wake up screaming, reliving election night when Trump was announced the winner. Or visions of Hillary's convention hall full of wailing women, glass ceiling firmly in tact.
Like it's close cousin PTSD, this disorder is a real problem that should be treated and not ignored. If you are a Liberal and have any of these symptoms, seek professional help immediately.
