I'm no fan of this pope..or any religious leader for that matter..but he did a very good thing in visiting Cuba. It helps to focus on the ridiculous relationship the United States has with the small nation and at the same time calls for Cuba to Liberalize it's government and allow religious freedom. Cuba and the United States should share a friendly relationship as it would benefit both economies. In any case this was a bold move and a pleasant surprise.

What seems to be very confusing is the sanctions that our country as put onto Cuba for the pas 40 plus years. What has it accomplished?

Any call for religious tolerance is good. And that's coming from a non believer.
