Looks like there is a slippery slope after all and gay marriage really could lead to polygamy. According to U.S. News and World Report, polyamory advocate Anita Wagner Illig said that gay marriage is setting the standard to make polygamy and polyamory legal.

“We polyamorists are grateful to our [LGBT] brothers and sisters for blazing the marriage equality trail,” said Illig, who is the head of polyamory advocacy group called Practical Polyamory.

Pet owners should be able to marry their pets, too.

Anything goes in God's delusion called "Lucifer".

It seems like a convenient argument but the problem is, it's a legitimate, factual argument. With the recent Supreme Court ruling, polygamists and other minority groups have every reason to expect that their legal right to marry should be left up to the States; and they can expect full, unfettered access to all the federal benefits of marriage. People marrying animals is silly. But what's to prevent a man from marrying a ten-year-old, as long as both parties consent? The 2 landmark decisions by the Court today have pushed the institution of marriage down a very slippery slope. I'm with Judge Scalia on this (as usual). His problem was, the argument against DOMA seemed to be based more on emotion and dislike of its supporters, rather than being framed as a legal argument.
