Looks like not only did McMichael father and son know about past thefts at the construction site home...they had seen video of Arbrey, knew he had been at the site moments before, knew he had been there numerous times in the past, knew $2500 worth of property had been stolen...and most importantly...were enlisted by the police in the investigation.
That is the purpose of this thread and what separates it from others.
1) Is it acceptable for police to in essence subcontract policing to a retired investigator who is now a private citizen?
2) Does the fact that police themselves were pivotal in involving the McMichael family and sharing details of the investigation with them change the dynamics of the citizen's arrest of Arbrey?
3)If it is proven that "jogging" is nothing more than another "hands up, don't shoot" and Arbrey is in fact a criminal who stole from this site previously returning to see if there is new property to steal...does that change the equation?
