LINK: New CMP video shows Planned Parenthood doc bragging about changing techniques for organ harvesting « Hot Air

"Remember that changing abortion techniques to harvest fetal tissue in abortions violates federal law while watching this latest (video) release (at the link site) from the Center for Medical Progress. Dr. Amna Dermish corroborates Dr. Deborah Nucatola in the first CMP video, who told undercover investigators that Planned Parenthood trains its abortionists to adjust for organ harvesting. In fact, Dermish admits violating the partial-birth abortion ban passed by Congress more than a decade.

She also admits that Nucatola trained her to make those changes in violation of federal law."

How much longer are politicians going to be able to defend and protect Planned Parenthood in light of such damning admissions of criminal acts?!

"If a progressive organization provided undercover videos of officials at federal contractors admitting to violating environmental laws in this same cavalier fashion, no one would talk about “heavily edited” videos. They would be demanding Congressional hearings, cancellation of contracts, and prosecution of said officials."

Time for congress to demand enforcement of a ban on partial birth abortions!

Lefties are ignoring this because they maintain it's cool to torture and kill babies for parts, and to mislead and exploit women when they are at their most vulnerable and desperate.

The Planned Parenthood & Obamacare debate...

‘Planned Parenthood Dismembers or Chemically Poisons a Baby to Death Every 2 Minutes’
January 7, 2016 | Rep. Chris Smith, who chairs the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Global Human Rights, said on the House floor on Wednesday that Planned Parenthood is “Child Abuse, Incorporated,” and that the group “dismembers or chemically poisons a baby to death every 2 minutes.”
In its latest annual report, Planned Parenthood said its affiliates performed 323,999 abortion procedures in fiscal 2014 (which ended on Sept. 30, 2014). Given that there are 525,600 minutes in a 365-day year, that means Planned Parenthood's 323,999 abortions in fsical 2014 averaged one every 1.62 minutes. Smith made the remarks while the House was debating a reconciliation bill that would repeal Obamacare and defund Planned Parenthood. The bill, which passed the Senate 52 to 47 on Dec. 3, passed the House yesterday by a vote of 240 to 181. It will now be sent to President Barack Obama, who is expected to veto it.

Here is the transcript of Rep. Smith’s floor speech:

“Subsidized by over $500 million taxpayer dollars each year, Planned Parenthood dismembers or chemically poisons a baby to death every 2 minutes, killing over 7 million innocent children since 1973. “Planned Parenthood is Child Abuse, Incorporated. Now undercover videos have exposed in numbing candor several high-level Planned Parenthood leaders gleefully talking about procuring children’s internal organs for a price, all while altering gruesome dismemberment procedures to preserve intact livers, hearts, and lungs from freshly killed babies.

“Far too many politicians, Mr. Speaker, including our Nobel Peace Prizewinning president and much of the media, continue to ignore, trivialize, and even defend these gross human rights abuses. “So know this: We will not be deterred in exposing this Planned Parenthood scandal no matter how aggressive and misleading the cover-up. “End taxpayer funding to those who commit these cruel and inhumane acts in this subsidy for Planned Parenthood.

Congressman: Jesus and Moses Would Oppose Bill Repealing Obamacare and Defunding Planned Parenthood
January 7, 2016 | During Wednesday’s House floor debate on a reconciliation bill that would repeal Obamacare and defund Planned Parenthood, Rep. Steve Cohen (D.-Tenn.) argued that Jesus and Moses would oppose what the House was seeking to do.
“We just came through Hanukkah and Christmas, and we ought to think a little bit about what Hanukkah and Christmas were about and what Moses and Jesus would be about,” said Cohen. “I think they would be about saving lives and about giving everybody an opportunity to live, not patient-centric health care, but people living and getting health care like every other civilized, industrialized country in the world provides for its people.” Cohen spoke immediately after Rep. Chris Smith (R.-N.J.). In his remarks, Smith said: “Subsidized by over $500 million taxpayer dollars each year, Planned Parenthood dismembers or chemically poisons a baby to death every 2 minutes, killing over 7 million innocent children since 1973.”

It will now be sent to President Barack Obama, who is expected to veto it.

Here is the full transcript of Rep. Steve Cohen’s remarks:

Mr. Speaker, we ended the 2015 Congress working together with a tax extender package that I voted for that gave relief to the medical device folks in an omnibus bill. But we are back, and there you go again trying to repeal the Affordable Care Act, taking health care away from people and taking Planned Parenthood, which gives people who are poor and live in areas where there is not other healthcare opportunities—taking away from them the opportunity for preventive health care.

The last time this was tried in Tennessee, there was a 1,400 percent cut in women getting preventative care. That is just not right. We just came through Hanukkah and Christmas, and we ought to think a little bit about what Hanukkah and Christmas were about and what Moses and Jesus would be about. I think they would be about saving lives and about giving everybody an opportunity to live, not patient-centric health care, but people living and getting health care like every other civilized, industrialized country in the world provides for its people.

3 GOP Votes Against Bill to Defund Planned Parenthood and Repeal Obamacare, 1 Democrat Vote for It
January 7, 2016 | Three House Republicans on Wednesday voted against the reconciliation bill that would defund Planned Parenthood and repeal Obamacare while one Democrat voted for it. The bill passed the House of Representatives 240-181.
Republican Representatives Bob Dold (R-Ill.), Richard Hanna (R-N.Y.), and John Katko (R-N.Y.) broke ranks with 239 of their Republican colleagues and opposed the bill while Rep. Collin Peterson (D-Minn.) was the only House Democrat to vote for the bill. The Restoring Americans' Healthcare Freedom Reconciliation Act (H.R. 3762) ends federal funding of Planned Parenthood for one year by prohibiting Medicaid reimbursements for Planned Parenthood services. The bill also goes after key features of the Affordable Care Act, including repealing the individual and employer mandates, stripping the government of authority to run Obamacare exchanges, and eliminating taxes on medical devices and the “Cadillac tax” on expensive healthcare plans.

Rep. Bob Dold explained his opposition to the reconciliation bill in a statement to CNSNews.com. "Among the issues that I believe Congress must urgently address are the rising premiums and deductibles under the Affordable Care Act, along with the law’s massive and unacceptable cuts to Medicare programs,” he said. “I have always maintained that the Affordable Care Act was the wrong approach for America’s healthcare system and opposed its passage from the start,” said Dold. “However, casting yet another symbolic vote for full repeal of the law, without any replacement legislation, simply distracts us from the work that must be done to drive costs down, restore access to care, and make healthcare work for everyone.” Dold did not comment on the reconciliation bill’s defunding of Planned Parenthood. He has described himself as a “pro-choice Republican” in the past and introduced legislation in 2012 to protect funds that Planned Parenthood receives through Title X.

Rep. Richard Hanna released a statement Wednesday explaining his no vote. “I firmly believe that Obamacare was hastily developed, ideologically driven, and has fundamentally failed to fix our broken healthcare system. That is why I have voted more than 60 times to repeal it,” he wrote. “However, the outcome this evening will be no different. The President will veto this bill and it will not become law.” “It is a political vote that will accomplish nothing,” said Hanna. “Instead, it is time we start focusing on practical solutions that replace the law with reforms that will bring down costs, improve access to care and improve outcomes.” “In addition, I continue to oppose efforts to defund Planned Parenthood and deny millions of Americans the right to see the doctor of their choice,” Hanna continued. “More than 2.7 million women and men rely on Planned Parenthood for basic health care each year,” he said. “Nearly 2.1 million have received family planning counseling and birth control, which has been proven to reduce abortions.”
