The police won't even try. Venice is decidedly upscale. It's Silicon Beach home to Google. I used to live there right on Via Marina.

They asked for this. Years ago they passed ordinances helping the homeless. The residents stopped the police from forcing the homeless living in cars and RVs out. The RVs started discharging their waste tanks into the streets. Just a few months ago, Johnny Rotten came home to find his front gate broken and dozens of tents in his front and back yard. He was attacked trying to get to his door. This is what sympathy and empathy bought the wealthy who wanted to help.
