Trump chose Pence because Christie and Gingrich were carrying so much negative baggage that they've developed a hunchback.

So, Pence, an ultra conservative Christian was chosen, just months before this guy would have lost his governor seat in an almost ALL red state.....and that would have been the "kiss of death"...politically.

Pence's dilemma now boils down to sticking with the losing Trump campaign and be seen as the "loyal" follower of a flawed Trump......Will this loyalty work for him or against him when running [surely] in 2020?
For him to be tainted with the same brush as Trump is a negative.....but perhaps less of a negative were he to pullout altogether....

My prediction is that Pence will be rarely seen along Trump during the next 3 weeks (sort of a-la Palin during poor McCain's run) and Pence will be avidly praying that republicans have the shortest memory on record during the 2020 campaign.

I dont know why he wouldn't push for the win still. If he is lucky and mcmullin pushes us to a house runoff, pence could be the next president if the house stalemates and he gets elected VP in the senate

Well, he'd be right about the latter and I bet you're right about the former. BTW, whatever happened to the proof that Pence said would be provided yesterday "..,within hours" that the Trump accusers were lying? I guess we could call them the Trumpers as opposed to the Birthers.
