penance

no cause for
singing and dancing
and all that jazz
you made the earth cry
let broadway die

amazon stock raised
amazon razed
for stock
bellies fattened
rainforest starved
let the cafes close

crowds rave
in ecstasy
nature moans
in agony
let the parties end

Although, the US population has gone from 152,300,000 in 1950 to 328,200,000 today so TOTAL carbon emission could have increased by a factor of 215.5% and still have the same per capita value.

better do your math again

328,200,000 / 152,300,00 = 2.155. Note that I used the word "factor". You should have realized that per capita figures are worthless and deceptive in this context.

Population didnt increase 215%.......try again

It increased 115% and thus by a "factor" of 215%. You're arguing a losing point. Would you care to contend that US population has gone DOWN since 1950? If not, your use of the per capita carbon emission is deceptive because total emissions have increased dramatically.

Didnt contend that at all.....total emissions are falling in US and have been for several yrsThus we reached and went past our Kyoto goals .......and may still be only country to have done so otherwise your cities would still be shrouded in smog

It has come down a little since about 2005. But that would be following 55 years of increase.

Point remains .....we are at 1950 per capita levelas which is incredible considering what life was like then and now.
