Talismen
Lady Templar & Kafir
In 2006, nancy pelosi and her 'band of socialist robin hoods' took control of both chambers of congress. In her legislative chamber, she ascended to become the 1st female speaker of the house. And although President (at the time) George W Bush was quite gracious to san fran nan when he took to the podium at his State Of The Union speech in January of '07, perky little nancy went on to refer to Bush as a "total failure".
Dare I say that if someone in an equally powerful position in the legislature were to refer to barack obama as a "total failure", dear ol' nancy would be the first one to call them "racist" and construct the gallows for their execution.
Oh well,...Such is life, ay?
That brings us to today -- Swearing-in day for the 63 new GOP members of the House, where nancy will undoubtedly cry her last tear, before handing over the gavel to whomever takes her place...Presumably John Boehner, Mr "crap sandwich" himself. Oh don't get me wrong, I think if he can hold on to that spine he found the minute the Tea Party wave hit the shores on Nov. 2nd, he'll do fine. Still, it's worth keeping a sharp-eye on him and others in the GOP leadership in the House.
But, alas...Poor nancy. What ever will she do?
Go back to being the accusatory, all-blow/no-show, snotty little wrinkled-up wench she's always been when faced with being a member of the MINORITY? Or will she further decend into her own little world, where everything she did while speaker was wonderful, and the American people swallowed it up like thirsty little kitties waiting for their saucers of milk?
There there....You rest now, dear nancy.
Don't stress or strain yourself too much.
Just relax.
And don't forget to empty the trash and turn out the lights when you vacate the Speaker's office.
Several blogs are covering the swearing-in, and the departure of our dear nancy today. I'll link to a few of them:

Link (h/t Michelle Malkin): Day One, 112th Congress: 10 Simple Rules for the GOP
Link (h/t Townhall):
Pelosi states (on the last full day of her speakership): "If All Americans Loved Their H'care, We'd Still Take It Over; Repealing Is "Very Serious Violence"
(The Townhall link above features a vid clip of san fran nan uttering those words at a press conference. Be careful what you wish for dear nancy. If you and your 'clan continue business as usual, you may see those torches and pitchforks carried by angry Americans who have had enough of your caterwalling and back-biting. It's the people's business you all should be focusing on, not your own!)
