Cleveland. Feel mah pain.
Three actresses, all in their 20's, who portray high school students on the television show "Glee" have done a highly sexualized photo shoot for GQ@ magazine that has parents in an uproar.

If these actress and the magazine had not been trading on the "Glee" story line, I'd have no problem. But given the images....yes, this is further pop culture sexualization of minor girls and it was over the line.

Shame on GQ@, these actresses and the "Glee" show for this series of photos.

What say you?

GQ is a magazine for men.

The women from the show posing are in their 20's, not teens.

They could have said no, but the exposure can only help their career (I'm sure they think that)

Not many kids read GQ, but yes, these pics can be seen on the net anyway. Oh well, it's not like they are Hannah Montana posing topless on the cover of a magazine!

GLEE is on FOX network, what did you expect?

It is no porn, but sexism.
Maybe a mini-skirt on her and probably she looks like a normal "teenager" with a tendency to try out the slut character. A portion of women in this school-age do this.
That's why I support uniforms in school. It also helps to give children a focus on character by not going the way for materialism and shiny things. It also helps to protect children from families with no good economic situation, whose children can not wear expensive and shiny things.

Humm, seems as if I am becoming a tad fussbudgety. I really did think it was entirely inappropriate.....

But to get objections from the three of you, I have to assume I was 100% wrong-o on this issue.

Ms. Michele had one with her legs spread wide and it offered some reflection too. Of course, since she was wearing panties at the time, it wasn't technically porn.

And no. It's not pedophile-type material either. The actresses are not minors.

It is sexism and exploitative.

I hadda check twice to make sure.

Well okay, but it makes no one else uncomfy that these actresses are now famous for their roles as high school girls?

I'm with you Madeline insofar as I think the photos are inappropriate. Glee is one of my favorite shows and aside from the "girl on girl action" last week, I think it's a great show for the whole family. These young ladies are not famous for their modeling skills. They are not even pretty. They are profiting from their fame on a family show and I see that as sleazy and opportunist.

As Spiderman says "With great power, comes great responsiblity". You can't tell me they need the cash.

What you mean high school teens may be sexual. That's crazy talk. I have never in all my years heard of teens being sexual until nowadays </massive sarcasm>

P.S. look up the definition of pedophilia, it doesn't include attraction to high schoolers.

Language nazi.....I know you are right but I cannot think of just one word for sharking the jail bait.

isn't it against some usmb policy to admit you are 100% wrong so easily ??

Yes, even if you've changed your mind you are required by the by laws here to drag it out to at least a minor flame war before admitting to common ground.

Honestly, it's a Fox Network (not news) show and they have always pushed the boundaries. That was their strategy for breaking into the monopoly of the big three. While they have had a good number of quality shows along the way, they throw a lot of shit against the wall too.

Not even pretty? Someone needs to do a poll. I think you would find that about 99.0% of the men here would disagree with you.

I don't know why people would call this porn. In my book there has to be a minimum of nudity to be porn.

This is just...this is trying too hard.

This is just a bad photo.

is she supposed to be farting?

If you're going to use that, have it emanating from her blouse while holds it open and you see her from the side.

or from a male's crotch.

Or better yet, find a different section of the wall.

It is neither.

Do you know what porn is?
Do you know what pedophilia is?
