Germany and Austria are interesting.

Post WW2 there were de-nazification programs set up in what became West Germany, the French, British and American zones. They soon stopped because they realised Nazis made good anti-Communists.
However Germany, that being West German, was given all of the guilt of WW2 and they spent 60 year and more coming to terms with their guilt. Racism is much lower in the former West Germany than the Former East Germany and Austria. The Soviets simply didn't care about denazifying. They just wanted people to do as they were told. The Austrians were told they were the victims of German aggression.

Considering Hitler was Austrian and 40% of Concentration Camp Commanders were Austrian and 25% of workers there were too, it's a bit weird.

I lived in Austria. I lived there when Jorg Haider was Governor of Kaernten and I lived in Kaernten we he managed to kill himself in a car accident. This was a dude who had admiration for the SS and other such dodgy stuff.

I asked some local kids about the laws that prevent you giving a Hitler Salute and other such Nazi stuff. I asked if these laws were right, as they took away people's freedoms. They said that the laws were good because otherwise Austria would become Nazi again. That from 15 years olds about their own country 50 years after the end of the war.

sheit..the russians lost 20 some million people and they would have been crushed if not for lend-lease and massive support.
We fought on the wrong side...and now after WWI and WWII tens of millions of white people killed...people who would have lived and accomplished things...instead the 3rd world is flooding in to europe and the u.s. and colonizing and replacing white people in our own lands.
If all those millions of people hadn't died their offspring would be the leaders and citizens and would be protecting their heritage and culture from the invaders.
