I thought most people knew that some pedophiles are born like that. I dont get all the hub bub over the study. Just because they are born like that doesn't mean they should get to victimize children since the children are a non-consenting adults.

The perspectives of most, though not all, the contributors, appeared strongly pro-paedophile. At least two were members of PIE and at least one, Peter Righton, (who was, incredibly, director of education at the National Institute for Social Work) was later convicted of child sex crimes. But from the viewpoint of today, the fascinating thing about Perspectives on Paedophilia is that at least two of its contributors are still academically active and influential.

As distasteful and perverted the source it does have some merit. Our legal definitions and natures definition don't see eye to eye on what constitutes being an adult. It was and still is tradition in some countries for middle aged men to have young teenage brides. Some girls are having babies at the age of 11. I found this link which is pretty sick. I didnt know a 5 year old could give birth.

In prior centuries it was normal for 12 to 15 year old girls and boys to have sex and start families, as the average lifespan was about 30 to 40 years. It has been determined by socieity, correctly so, that this is not a good thing when there is a choice, as the life span now is more than double that. That there are older people that would have sex with young people is natural, but not desirable. It is against the child's interest, and should not happen. Those that advocate such liasons are acting in the most selfish of manners.
