Our Imperial Government

We have reached the tipping point in America. Our Federal government is no longer bound by the Constitution; it is an entity unto itself and not accountable to anyone, especially not the "People" It spies on us, it uses it police powers against us, their schools teach us America is evil and we really deserve this.

And the cherry on the cake is that the average Federal employee not only earns far more than his private sector counterpart, but they get a pension to boot. So add the cash value of the require nest egg to fund the pension and every Federal employee is a millionaire.

When he was VP, Calvin Coolidge lived in a single room in a hotel and couldn't afford to have his kids travel to DC to live with them for the summer. Today, Jay Rockefeller (Nazi -WV) lives in a taxpayer funded home with 11 bedrooms and takes a private $4,000 flight to DC when the nearby commercial airport makes the same trip for $200.

Our Government is living the last days of Rome. Roman Senators lived large and to fund their expenses Rome issued fake coins that were only clad in gold. Our resident economic expert Kimura would tell you the fake gold coins issued by Rome were even better than the gold coins, because like, they were, like, issued by the government and the proceeds were held by the Roman Federal Reserve equivalent, so who needs any intrinsic value? You know how that ended for Rome, right?

It's right around the bend here for us.

Average Federal worker earns over $70K a year, has a guaranteed pension that and lives in a city where the commercial rents are on par with NYC and affordable housing is being squeezed out in favor of market rate housing to house our government. It's not Democrat (Well, yeah it is mostly), it's not republican (well, yeah it is mostly). It's our Imperial Government. Our Founders knew this would be the end result of unchecked government power, and sho'nuff, they were correct

It's why the Feds place most power with the States. This phenom has been enabled by the Federal government coercing the states with fed funding for programs...which reinforce a cycle of ever expanding federal tax and regulatory reach.

We're living the early stage of The Hunger Games.

That is certainly not true. Contractors make a lot more than their government counterparts. And do you really want to claim a government lawyer makes more than those in private practice? Your comparison is probably not taking into account education and experience levels. A much larger percent of government jobs require college degrees.

That is certainly not true. Contractors make a lot more than their government counterparts.

But do contractors in the private sector have full monopolied authority to build bridges, interstate highways, dams and other infrastructure-related projects???

Depends on how good the lawyers in private practice are, that.

Which means absolutely nothing. But I guess you already knew that.

You know very well the topic was average. Don't move the goalposts.

It means a lot. College graduates on average make more than those without degrees. So if you're comparing a group with 80% college graduates to a group with 20% college graduates (made up numbers for example purposes), then the first one will have higher salaries regardless of what you based the groups on.

IT IS NOT CONTRACTORS FROM THE PRIVATE SECTOR WHO BUILD AMERICA'S BRIDGES, INTERSTATE HIGHWAYS, DAMS AND OTHER PIECES OF OUR INFRASTRUCTURE: IT IS THE FEDERAL OR STATE GOVERNMENT, MORON.

A government contractor is someone who is employed by a private company on a government contract often alongside federal employees doing the same job. Contractors get paid more than their federal counterparts.

And AGAIN, moron: HOW MANY PRIVATE CONTRACTORS DO YOU KNOW WHO HAVE BUILT THINGS LIKE THE HOOVER DAM AND THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE?!?!?

It is a MONOPOLY.

Why do you keep bringing up construction? What does that have to do with anything?
