Federal judge overturns Oregon gay marriage ban

The judge used the same reasoning used in Loving v. Virginia.

A federal court judge in Oregon has thrown out the state’s same-sex marriage ban, saying it is unconstitutional and discriminatory, placing gays and lesbians “at a disadvantage … without any rationally related government purpose.”

This will be the same reasoning used by the US Supreme Court one day.

A great day for Oregon!!

SCOTUS should have used the CA case to overturn all of these state laws but maybe they thought the country wasn't there yet.
