I picked up this nickeled M1894 Marlin Safety this morning. .32-20 caliber. Since it's a antique there was no paperwork.

Somewhere along the line of it's 126 year history it got nickeled. The bore is just fair but it will still shoot 1.50" groups at 50 yards. Good enough to where I won't have it re-lined. No issues mechanically.

The stock has been sanded to hell and gone so I might spring for a repro stock set. I mean it's not like it has any real collector value anyway. I'm just a sucker for old .32-20 guns.

That's a lot of nickel.
It held-up good, a tiny bit of flaking on one side of the hand-guard at the wood line but that's it. The worst thing was dried oil but that came right off with some Rem-Oil.

LOL....I had just finished cleaning it after I shot it and the wife walked by and said "wow, that's a shiny one". I think she has designs on it. :laughing0301:
