I saw the Newsmax article this morning, but well it was Newsmax, so I figured I'd wait to post it. Glad I did. Links at site:

No question in my mind that if we pull out (again!) before the job is done, the US will be viewed from here on as not only a paper tiger, but as a nation that cannot or will not finish anything it starts. I have no doubt that the US will then be viewed as an unreliable ally in ANY endeavor. It is no wonder that other nations want only our money; we, as a people, have not the courage, self discipline nor honor to stick to it when the going gets tough.

It is a true shame that the US citizens have become so soft.

It's even sadder that it's not the people, but the leaders who are to blame. They run the polls for headlines, then grab the headlines through the Senate podium. They don't bother reporting that the people are not backing pulling out, just that they are concerned about how it's going and how we will get out.

McCain is the only one willing to reinforce the troops in Iraq and at least
    try to play for victory.

Most members of congress agree to begin a withdrawal within a year. No matter what.....

Problem with that is, that currently no one on the ground seems to be saying they need 'more troops.' Rather the problem seems to be from politics and the effects on the troops and Iraqis.
