On the news tonight the CDC says that omicron is 50 to 75% less severe than the Delta variant, that's the good news. The bad news they didn't tell, is that the virus is 2.2 to 2.9 times as infectious as Delta is. If you do the math we end up with the same number of people in the hospital the same number of deaths as Delta. Let's just hope they're both out here as soon as possible and they don't mutate together to form a super bad one , that's my hope.This is great news!
