It shows that you know very little about the military. Lots of enlisted men have college degrees. In fact, there are only three ways to get a commission in peacetime. ROTC, OCS or graduation from a service academy. I did do ROTC in college, but for a number of reasons, it didn't work out. Mainly both of my parents dying when I was in college.
