Occupy Irrelevance: Movement is dying away slowly....

You guys thinking the movement is over will be singing a different tune by the end of this month, and probably back to complaining about it, prompted by your talk-radio prompters.

JoeB131 (a conservative who ISN'T a talk-radio parrot; I can always tell the difference) is right except for this statement: "OWS blames Wall Street completely." No, we blame the government primarily; focus on Wall Street was only to emphasize the fact that big business pulls the government's strings and that this was being ignored.

Then tell me why aren't the OW Sheep occupying the mall in DC if their primary complaint is with the government?

BTW no one believes that the OW Sheep aren't anything but pro huge government.

I explained why: "focus on Wall Street was only to emphasize the fact that big business pulls the government's strings and that this was being ignored."

You should also not confuse these two statements:

1) "The primary fault lies with the government."

2) "The primary fault lies with the fact that we have big government."

Those five words in the middle of the sentence completely change the meaning.

They haven't made their point. They just haven't presented a clear message. Now most Americans just think they're lazy whiners. Americans do not like whiners. They just don't have patience for it. This isn't Western Europe where laziness & whining is encouraged and praised. They're just in the wrong country for all that. What do they want? No one knows. Is it only about the whining and the Entitlement mentality? If it is,Americans will just call Bullshit on it and move on. They need to get to the point. What do they want? It's put up or shut up time for them. The endless whining isn't gonna cut it.

"You can't have a revolution without arms" .
Fidel.

We like living in the most prosperous nation on the planet and a lot of us want to keep it that way.

Thankfully, the Second Amendment lets us hold you Marxist swine in check

Yea when it was all about being angry with Wall Street, they did have a lot of support. But then it got hijacked by the Soros-funded Leftist kooks who began their Entitlement whining. Now it's just all about them deserving someone elses income. Movements can get hijacked this way. They've lost a lot of support now. Being angry with Wall Street is fine but copping that Entitlement attitude isn't gonna cut it.

I'd take these folks a bit more serious if they weren't out there railing against problems created by the policies they promote.

These people are utterly clueless... they're the product of a generation given trophies and certificates for participation rather than accomplishment.

The irony is that both OWS and Wall Street have the same Entitlement mentality. It's all about stealing from fellow Citizens. They're pretty much on th same side.

Do you even know what policies Occupy is promoting? Do you even know what problems they're railing against? You've shown no sign of knowing thus far.

The OWS have been a damn shame all along.
WE NEED a SERIOUS protest against political corruption and Wall Street corruption.
Instead - we got a bunch of unemployable pot heads and socialist wannabes with absolutely no agenda other than a month long camp out.

What a loss.

I don't give a FUCK what they say they are promoting... These are basically a bunch of entitlement minded ass-wipes who think their fucking contribution to society is getting a Masters in Latin Studies, and that I should be so fucking thankful that I should now pick up the tab for the student loans they PROMISED to pay back because nobody gives a shit about a Masters in Latin Studies so they now have to work for shit at Starbucks. Their whole lives Mommy and Daddy patted them on the head and told them how special the are, they received trophies for coming in last place and guess what, now they're in the real world and nobody gives a rats ass about their stupid degree and their worthless trophies and guess what else... you ain't so fucking special.

Screw 'm all.

Wishful thinking, they are going nowhere. They are going to be such a thorn in the side of Wall Street and their pet politicians that teabaggers will be shooting them in the streets before long. Don't think so? Keep ratcheting the rhetoric against them and some disturbed maniac will take it seriously.

I've said it before and I will say it again. Both TEA and OWS are reflections of a frustration at the unholy alliance between Wall Street and Washington that seems to put the interests of big corporations before the interests of average Americans.

both parties are guilty of this. TEA blames government completely, OWS blames Wall Street completely, but the real problem is the vicious circle that keeps feeding itself.

OWS is upset that Obama and HopeyChangy really didn't change anything. Obama has been bought out by the big banks, but they'll vote for him a second time anyway.

TEA is upset that the establishment isn't listening to them, but the fact is, that establishment will shove Mitt Romney down their throats (if they can get away with it) and most of them will go along with it. Unless Gingrich wins, but he won't exactly be doing a major housecleaning, either.

So no matter who wins, Wall Street will continue to move the good jobs to China, continue to drive down wages, continue to expand government...

:iagree:

The Occupy movement has certainly had success getting their message out, that'd be wealth inequality and Washington pandering to Wall Street/Corporate America. That message certainly reflects what a majority of American feel in every poll I've seen. Why would that be?
During the cold winter months, I'm sure the crowds will thin out. But I will bet on it that as 2012 is an election year Occupy will be out in greater numbers than we have seen, much to the disdain of those on the far right.
Myself, along with many others would just love to see Occupy conduct their protest in a much more civil manner, they should use the Tea Party protests as an example on how to effectively conduct a protest. Occupy must separate themselves from the anarchist. I also suspect that there are those who are causing image issues for Occupy are on the payroll of those who want to kill the message (something like I suspect happened at Tea Party protests).

Exactly... it;s abunch of whackjobs.

It's over.. sorry.

I don't give a FUCK what they say they are promoting... These are basically [snip pointless rant]

So what you're saying here is that you'd take them more seriously if they weren't out there promoting policies that produce the outcomes they are against, and you insist on saying this even though you not only don't know what they are against or what policies they promote, but don't care.

Can you understand why, given this, it is very hard to take YOU seriously?

OWS is a pimple on the world's ass. They have revealed themselves to be direct descendants of Hitler's Brown shirts, but without the clean spiffy uniforms. They are frothing anti-Semites, and are disgusting and vile and just plain fucking adolescents who would be kicked out of any campground in America. They have marginalized themselves and that's with the love and support of POTUS, Pelosi, the Labor Unions and the LMSM. It just shows you how far our in LunaticFringe Land the Democrat Party is today

Really? And the rally that I went to last month in Oklahoma had several thousand attendees. I must have been hallucinating all of it...

The Tea Party pays for the permits, security and then leaves the place CLEANER than when they show up. No wonder YOU don't hear about Tea Party events. No crime, no filth, no clashes with the police. Just the people who pay the TAXES that you want to spend ten times over.

What a nimrod...

OWS is not like the brownshirts, they are direct descendants of the Stasi. As your following comments describe beautifully.
