Philadelphia’s experience with a soda tax is a lesson for health care: if you want LESS of something — TAX it! The same holds true for healthcare. Obama & SCOTUS said it was tax. Let’s understand the implications of that.

Many Trump supporters who received coverage through the Affordable Care Act said they were overwhelmed by out-of-pocket costs and high deductibles, according to a survey from the Kaiser Family Foundation.

The foundation conducted focus groups following the presidential election in the battleground states of Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania to see how Trump supporters who were covered by Obamacare felt about their coverage.

The only ones who are happy are those being subsidized. Everyone else is paying more for less. The high deductibles mean most won't get a dime from insurance to cover any expenses.

And those without insurance get fined, many times because they simply can't afford it. So, the left thinks it's fair to fine people for being too poor to afford $200 - $300 a month for insurance.

It means that the people paying the higher premiums and fines are subsidizing free healthcare for others while they go without.

It's just unfair. Most of the people carrying the burden are not all that well off. They pay high premiums and still pay out of pocket for doctor and hospital visits because their deductibles are so high. Those who simply cannot afford any insurance still get a huge fine. They might have trouble paying for rent or food, but the left is only concerned with some people getting insured for free. It's unfair to take away all choices from people.

You make some great points. What is your opinion about the GOP plan, where subsidies are based on age? Bill Gates gets the highest subsidy amount since he's 61, while someone 25 years old working at Walmart gets the lowest amount since they are young.

Wouldn't this person be the one with the generous subsidies under current ACA? They could get a silver plan and qualify for cost assistance, so their deductible and out of pocket are all very low. Fast forward two years and they might lose that help because they are too young to qualify.

It's funny. The Republicans have forced a private system on you, which means it costs you double what it should cost you, and they even made it so if you lose your job, you're fucked, and you people love it. Not only that you pay loads in corruption, loads for profits for things that shouldn't even exist. Probably half what you pay goes on unnecessary crap. And yet you still love. Then they increase the cost of this massively overpriced thing, and all of a sudden you get pissy about paying to much.

What the fucK?
