Tonight on the 100 day news conference President Obama was asked a question about the enhanced interrogation technics.

In the defense of his policy--Obama refers to Winston Churchills statement during the London blitz of 1939. "We do not torture."

I do not believe for one single second that if Winston Churchill KNEW he could STOP the nightly London bombings--that he would not have waterboarded every single German captive.

Obama is using a completely different enemy & under a completely different circumstance. Waterboarding a German captive during the 1939 London blitz would not have STOPPED the bombings. Waterboarding a terrorist who has information about an incoming attack would saves innocent lives. "That's the DIFFERENCE"

Obama in his defense & using the London blitz--basically stated that it's O.K. for a terrorist to kill Americans--as long as our "moral clarity" remains intact. And that's B.S.

It was George Washington who first forbade US troops from torturing. It was what made us different, better than those we were at war with.

Sadly after two centuries of following his exemplary lead, we allowed a President without a firm convition in the rule of law to destroy our moral high ground.

You who argue for a policy of torture are on the wrong side of history.

And the wrong side of God.

So, in your mind, Churchill is a two-faced hypocrite who only stuck to his principles when it didn't matter. Good to know, but I have a better opinion of him.

It's sad that you have to imagine that everyone shares your moral bankruptcy.
