Seems Obama is trying to make up for the Iran Treaty....... I guess the Democrats need to keep those wealthy
Jewish political donors happy no matter what. They should have fried that spy instead of giving him life.

I disagree. And I'm probably one of the biggest critics of Israel here who isn't a Muslim.

Pollard was charged with handing over intelligence on Iraq's nuclear program, which we had promised to share with the Israelis and didn't. Now, I have no use for the Israelis and think they have WAAAAAY too much influence over our government. But what Pollard did just wasn't all that serious.

Robert C. Kim was caught spying for South Korea in 1996. He was given a nine-year sentence of which he served about half.

Lcdr. Michael Schwartz spied for Saudi Arabia and did not spend one day in prison. He was dishonorably discharged from the Navy.

Specialist ALBERT T. SOMBOLAY - was convicted of spying for Iraq during the Gulf War. He got a mere 19 years in prison.

Steven Lalas - spied for the Greek government and only got a sentence of 14 years.

Mohammad Reza Alavi provided nuclear information to Iran and only got a 15 month sentence.

No, sorry, the sentence against Pollard was excessive.

If Pollard's crimes weren't so damnable I would support a release also but that isn't the case here. He provided distinctly critical intelligence to Israel when he provided intelligence on submarine movements, information on our satellites and how they could take photographs off axis so that a far away view was possible, Pollard himself was quoted as saying that the material he gave Israel would have created a stack 6 feet wide by six feet long by ten feet high. American intelligence spent years trying to assess the damage that he did and what makes it galling is that Israel repackaged much of the information and traded it to the Soviet Union in exchange for the safe travel of Soviet Jews emigrating to Israel. Adding insult to injury, in previous attempts to obtain release of Pollard Israel to this day refuses to provide a detailed inventory of what they were provided. For that alone I say he should remain in prison.

Any person that is tried and convicted of espionage against the US should be put to death.

It won't placate them. But Israel, like everyone else, will take the free shit that Obama offers.
Obama would give away your kitchen sink if he got past your front door

WTF is wrong with this regime?

Why compound one mistake on top of another?

This guy needs to do his time and then get out! If that means he will never get out, then so be it.

Israel should reject this move!
