Obama The Socialist Enemy Of Russian Commies: Ruble's Recent Recovery DOA

Let's look at what has happened this year.

Economics in the US. Record stock market highs. Unemployment continues to go down. Good paying jobs opening up. Consumer confidence up.

Russia. Russia started an unneccessary conflict with the Ukraine. Our 'Conservatives' were all cheering how strong Putin looked and swooning over him without a shirt. Looks like that is the way that Russia is ending the year, without a shirt. And Putin is looking increasingly ineffectual on the world stage.

Energy. Oil production from oil shale fracking made us pretty much energy independent. And the OPEC nations lowered their prices. Russia, whose primary money making export is oil, suddenly has very little capital, and even less so as the military soaks it up. In the meantime, here in the US, wind has more than acheived parity with dirty coal and gas. Solar will have achieved parity before President Obama's second term is up. The President definately won his bet on renewable energy.

Politics. Yes, as expected, the GOP took the Senate, with 54 seats. They will not be able to do anything more with that number than the Dems were able to with the seats they had. In the meantime, the President is looking stronger every day. Succeeded in getting an emissions agreement with China, and will be in a very strong position at the upcoming conferance on climate. Particularly with the Pope stating the moral position on that issue.

Take-home pay down.

Russia. Russia started an unneccessary conflict with the Ukraine. Our 'Conservatives' were all cheering how strong Putin looked and swooning over him without a shirt. To whom?

Energy. Oil production from oil shale fracking made us pretty much energy independent. And the OPEC nations lowered their prices. Due to private oil shale fracking, opposed by Obama. Just what do you mean by "parity?"

Sounds like spin to me: Hope & Change revisited?
