Obama Thanks Egyptian President For Security At Cairo Embassy

Iran and islamo-facisim IS our number one problem. It's just the same problem Israel has. It isn't Israel that wants to repeal the Bill of Rights.
Really??

I think the bad economy, job loss and unemployment, open borders, etc.

Are far more of a serious concerns to the average American.

Looks like we have a number of number one problems. If you put them all together, the democrats are the nation's number one problem because all these other problems are coming from that.

What security? the "security" the Egyptians provided our Embassy was lackluster and half assed, and we are thanking them for that?

Apparantly the embassy was empty. Good thing the Eygptian security was on the ball. Yeah Right.

I wonder if the Marine embassy guards now have live ammo??

It wasn't lackluster. It was absent. There was none. What saved the embassy personnel is that they left. The embassy at the time of the attack was empty. This makes obama's "thanks" so stupid.

Your right.

Those Marines are armed with the finest water guns money can buy.

You think criminal negligence is funny?

I bet you thought the Muslim Brotherhood was harmless and that al Qaeda was defeated too.

I have news for you bud, actions speak louder than words. Obama's actions show me he isn't serious about fighting terrorism and you fall for his rhetoric every time he claims to be on the job.

He isn't.

You should go to ground-zero in Tel Aviv and hope that Hamas doesn't set off a nuke there.

The Republicans put the Muslim Brotherhood in control of Egypt.

obama's a republican! Who knew?

Obama/Clinton were only continuing the plan the Republicans wrote, put in motion & played out to the month. Just because the Egypt ended shortly after Obama was in office did not change the plan of how, when & who would take control of Egypt. Hillary Clinton is running foreign policy for Obama & has a much higher approval rating than Romney or Obama.

Another good reason why never to trust conservatives with foreign policy is illustrated by this thread.

They believe that only two nations exist in this world..Israel and America. Everything else isn't legit for them.

Consider yourself lucky Swallow.

It's clear you're the result of a failed abortion.

I think somebody sucked your brain out of your skull before you were born.

Hmm..with all these death threats you give me on a daily basis, faggot..I just keep wondering why you want to swallow my sperm.

Are you a necrophiliac?

You are a digusting homosexual deviant..aren't ya?

Poor baby.

No death-threat was made.

You just are living proof you don't need a brain to survive.

The Republicans put the Muslim Brotherhood in control of Egypt.

Would you care to provide links to that?

From wikipedia, the Muslim Brotherhood - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/url] the Muslim Brotherhood was founded in 1928 as a movement to support democratic elections with their main motto being, "Islam is the solution."

One of their solutions was assassinating their own founder and a number of Egyptian politicians who favored western ways.

Nowhere can I find any reference to Republicans doing anything to support the Brotherhood. If you can, please provide a link.

obama showed support for the muslim brotherhood the second he told Mubarak to step down, and Gaddafi after him. obama has muslim brotherhood in the white house, in the state department as a fact, and this has somehow become a republican issue???

You have to be a real hard core democrat to believe that one.

As I posted earlier, The Muslim Brotherhood was founded in 1928 with the goal of putting every Islamic country under their control and ultimately founding a Caliphate.

The most radical element of the Brotherhood included many clerics sent into exile - Ayatollah Khomeini being one of them. When the Shah of Iran fell sick and went to seek medical care, The Peanut Farmer [almost but not quite as inept as Barry Hussein] turned his back and let radical elements of the Brother come in and take care of Iran.

With Mubarak ill and needing medical attention, Barry Hussein did the exact same thing as The Peanut Farmer and we now see the Brotherhood taking power in Egypt. Do we expect them to be any different from their pals in Iran?

With the exception of Harry T, there has NEVER been a Democrat president who served this country well in the area of foreign relations.!!!!!

Republicans made a deal with the Muslim Brotherhood & 6 other groups back in 2005. They planned to overthrow Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak and install a democratic government just before his scheduled 2011 presidential elections. The mission was accomplished on time & according to the Republican plan.

The Daily Telegraph
The American government secretly backed leading figures behind the Egyptian uprising who have been planning “regime change” for the past three years, The Daily Telegraph has learned.

The American Embassy in Cairo helped a young dissident attend a US-sponsored summit for activists in New York, while working to keep his identity secret from Egyptian state police.

On his return to Cairo in December 2008, the activist told US diplomats that an alliance of opposition groups had drawn up a plan to overthrow President Hosni Mubarak and install a democratic government in 2011.

He has already been arrested by Egyptian security in connection with the demonstrations and his identity is being protected by The Daily Telegraph.

Secret US document discloses support for protesters behind the Egypt uprising.
xxxxxxxxxxxx contended that the GOE will never undertake significant reform, and therefore, Egyptians need to replace the current regime with a parliamentary democracy. He alleged that several opposition parties and movements have accepted an unwritten plan for democratic transition by 2011;.....

xxxxxxxxxxxx claimed that several opposition forces -- including the Wafd, Nasserite, Karama and Tagammu parties, and the Muslim Brotherhood, Kifaya, and Revolutionary Socialist movements -- have agreed to support an unwritten plan for a transition to a parliamentary democracy, involving a weakened presidency and an empowered prime minister and parliament, before the scheduled 2011 presidential elections

The "Secret Document" mentioned this "Revolutionary Activist" speaking at a late January Congressional hearing on House Resolution 1303 regarding religious and political freedom in Egypt.

This Resolution H. Res. 1303: Calling on the Egyptian Government to respect human rights and freedoms of religion was introduced Jun 24, 2008 by Rep. Frank Wolf [R-VA10].

It was also introduced in several previous secessions of congress. On Jul 28, 2005 it was introduced as H. Res. 413: Expressing the concern of House of Representatives regarding the amount of United States foreign assistance provided to Egypt over the past 25 years without meaningful political reforms by the Government of Egypt, by Rep. Ted Poe [R-TX2].

Our government relied heavily on our relationship with Egypt's military. We counted on our influence of democratic civilian control of our military to influence their military officials over our 30 year joint military cooperation. So far it seems to have paid off. Egypt's military has played ball with the plan.

Pentagon Faces Test of Influence With Ally
The officer corps of Egypt’s powerful military has been educated at defense colleges in the United States for 30 years. The Egyptian armed forces have about 1,000 American M1A1 Abrams tanks, which the United States allows to be built on Egyptian soil. Egypt permits the American military to stage major operations from its bases, and has always guaranteed the Americans passage through the Suez Canal.

The relationship between the Egyptian and American militaries is, in fact, so close that it was no surprise on Friday to find two dozen senior Egyptian military officials at the Pentagon, halfway through an annual week of meetings, lunches and dinners with their American counterparts.

By the afternoon, the Egyptians had cut short the talks to return to Cairo, but not before a top Defense Department official, Alexander Vershbow, had urged them to exercise “restraint,” the Pentagon said.

obama thanked the Egyptian president for not sending the Egyptian military to protect the embassy. That's what happened.

What are the Egyptian Military supposed to do? ain't no Egyptian Soldier going to kill another Egyptian to protect Americans, they wouldn't even do that for Mubarak.

The obligation of host nations is to defend foreign embassies. If you look at it objectively it makes sense. If host nations did not have this obligation, then embassies would be protected by the military of that foreign country. That's not an embassy it's an occupation. Imagine in this country. We will not protect foreign embassies. There is a protest at the Russian Embassy over the imprisonment of Pussy Riot. The Russian army protecting the Embassy opens fire on the protesting Americans. It doesn't end well does it?

Obama thanks Egypt's president over embassy protection

CAIRO | Sun Sep 23, 2012 7:00am EDT

(Reuters) - President Barack Obama has thanked the Egyptian president for securing the U.S. Embassy during protests against a film made in the United States that mocked Prophet Mohammad and sparked worldwide demonstrations and violence.

Obama's rival in the U.S. presidential race, Mitt Romney, called for a tougher line with Egypt after protesters scaled the compound wall and tore down the U.S. flag on September 11.

Police clashed with demonstrators for four days after that incident and barriers were erected to stop them getting near the compound.

In a letter, Obama repeated Washington's condemnation of the film and said he looked forward to working with President Mohamed Mursi to build on the "strategic partnership", Mursi's official Facebook page said on Sunday.

"In his letter, President Obama thanked the Egyptian president for Egyptian efforts to secure the mission of the United States in Cairo," according to the site.

Egypt was a close ally of the United States under Hosni Mubarak, whose 30-year rule was ended by a popular uprising last year.

At the same time this prick in Egypt is telling us we in the U.S. need to change Obama is thanking him.

1. Cairo was slow to react to the attacks on our embassy.

2. The attacks were planned to coincide with the 9/11 anniversary.

3. The embassy was NOT protected as well as it should have been.

4. There is no strategic partnership with Egypt unless we capitulate..Morsi has already said this...

5. Egypt is laughing at us as is the entire Middle East.

I'm shocked that obama hasn't thanked the Libyan president for the death of that Ambassador with the inconvenient diary. At least the diary found its way safely into CNN's hands.
