1) Socialized government does not work. Borrowing 3 trillion dollars is no different than if we had that much extra in taxed wealth to spend, it did nothing for us (this country) except put us that much further in debt
2) the government had little to do with the events that has caused this mess. If it had they could fix it you would think. until the free market is allowed to expand or can fix the things it has destroyed on its own, this economy is going no where

The term never allow a crises go to waste becomes more of what Obama is about every day. I hope we as a country will take a real look at where we are and how we got prior to 11/2012

Wrong on #2

Obama made things worse. Government has everything to do with this. LEAVE business alone and Capitalizism would have fixed itself

The government had nothing to do with the housing bubble
the root cause of this mess was the housing bubble
not allowing this country to find other sectors to rebound from is Obama's fault, he is in the way of expansion of numerous paths that would lead us out of this "slowdown"

But the root cause of our mess is the free market

Actually..

1. He's proved that no matter how badly conservatives fuck up..they are never willing to own up to their mistakes and they will visciously attack people that try to fix them. (See: Bill Clinton)

2. Conservatives are interested in just one thing. Destroying the government of the United States. Grover Norquist calls it "A Beast" as in "Starve the Beast".

3. People with no interest in governing..should be barred from doing so.

Obama has pulled down Keynesian economic down to the bottom along with his one term.

Hasta la vista, dickweed!

57 states, asthma breathalyzers, bank ATM kicked his economic theory's ass, really what did you Libs think was going to happen

Oh and then there's this, "The fact that we are here today to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. ... It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our government's reckless fiscal policies." -- Barack Hussein Obama, Failed Leader, Community Organizer and low-level socialist agitator

The Debt ceiling has become to far, to fast
it has to stop and we have to stop with the spending spree
If as Obama says we are controlling inflation then let us go back to 07 spending and move on from there
raising income tax on those of us who are working for a living is the worst thing we could do

The tax collection system is broke, we need a system like Florida and texas has where everyone pays
It shows no favorites and has no loop holes

The Progressive Income Tax need to be returned to its inventor on the Ash Heap of History

Last year Texas used the stimulus money to plug up their budget and this year they've used accounting tricks...along with selling public roads to private corporations.

Yeah..sounds cool.

You are economically and historically misinformed.

Try reading "Reckless Endangerment" and then get back to us.

The financial mess was caused by a collusion of GSEs (Fannie Mae in particular), Congress, Regulators, The Fed, Wall Street, the Realty industry, Community Organizers...and people who lied on their loan applications.

I just finished reading that book, it's a stinging indictment that realy gives you an insight into how this mess snowballed out of control. It really was a collective failure on just about everybody involved, and the gov't should be blamed as much as everybody.

The bad news is, we may not have corrected the problems and might very well be going down that same rathole. How much paper do our banks have from the EU? Not so much for Greek banks, but some from other EU banks that do have Greek debt. And Irish debt, and Portugese debt, and Spansh debt, and Italian debt. And we support the IMF, to the tune of hundreds of billions I think. You ready to see that money get flushed?

I notice this gets ignored when ever you post it. :eusa_shhh:

I have to give credit where credit is due . . . Barry is good at leadership failure. In fact I'd say he's gone above and beyond on it.

The Fixes didn't fix the problems. They just made more companies Too Big Too Fail and expanded the size of government.

One positive came out of the crisis, Americans are saving more. But government had nothing to do with that. What government needs to do to help the problem mend itself is back the fuck off. Shrink, cut, reduce it's spending. It is doing the exact opposite and the worse thing it could be doing. Cut government spending, and I don't mean on police, teachers and firemen. Why are we still giving billions to Pakistan? Why are we spending Millions a day on Libya? We need to really rethink our foriegn aid policy. We need to revamp our tax system. Go to a graduated flat tax system. Cut out the loopholes that are not increasing jobs and manufacturing in the US. Put an end to anchor babies. Put an end to funding unlimited welfare babies. Reward hard working, contributing Americans for a change

Mis informed?
It is a pure opinion as to the root cause but at the end of the day try and convince anyone that if person A keeps making there payment to person B does any of this occur?

The reason we cannot fix anything in this country is the blame game and at the end of the day
we have to get back to root cause analysis. Without it in business your dead
The lendee could not pay the lender
this made the paper the lender sold to the stock broker worthless
this made the insurance company that covered this piece of credit worthless that the stock broker owned

So exactly what did the govt do to cause this?

There in the way of fixing it, but not causing it
AS I have stated over and over, if they caused it, they should be able to fix it

Makes you wonder why, doesn't it?

Uh, do you think somebody who knifes a victim should be able to perform the surgery to "fix them"?

Breaking something does mean the breaker has the skills to repair the damage...as Obama demonstrates on a nearly constant basis.
