Obama Popularity in Decline

With 53% now approving of Obama, (down from over 60% two months ago) and a steady rise in strong dissaproval numbers, one must ponder if the once shining personal popularity of the new president is finally being dismantled by the lessening support of his policies.

Raila Amollo Odinga (born January 7, 1945) is a Kenyan politician, currently serving as the Prime Minister of Kenya with president Mwai Kibaki in a coalition government. He has served as a Member of Parliament for Langata since 1992, was Minister of Energy from 2001 to 2002, and was Minister of Roads, Public Works and Housing from 2003 to 2005. He was the main opposition candidate in the disputed 2007 presidential election. Following a post-electoral crisis that resulted in the deaths of 1,500 people and the displacement of 600,000 more, Odinga took office as Prime Minister, at the head of a national unity government, in April 2008.

Raila Odinga was born in Maseno, Kisumu District, Nyanza Province on January 7, 1945 to Oginga and Mary Juma Odinga. He received a scholarship that in 1965 sent him to the Technical University, Magdeburg (now a part of the University of Magdeburg) in East Germany

For all of you who are too young to remember East Germany was a communist country set up by the Soviet Union after WW2. However, the reason I posted this is to show yet another connection of Barack Obama's to the Communist party. In 2006 he went to Kenya to campaign for Odinga for president. So as I stated in a previous post Obama's plans and programs should come as no big surprise they don't to me.

Mr. Odinga and Mr. Obama were nearly inseparable throughout Mr. Obama's six-day stay. The two traveled together throughout Kenya and Mr. Obama spoke on behalf of Mr. Odinga at numerous rallies. In contrast, Mr. Obama had only criticism for Kibaki. He lashed out against the Kenyan government shortly after meeting with the president on Aug. 25. "The [Kenyan] people have to suffer over corruption perpetrated by government officials," Mr. Obama announced

When Obama's popularity finally bottoms out my concern is, what will he do to change that? How many American lives will it cost?

Why was Obama making a point to travel to Kenya and support this Odinga?

Seems rather peculiar...

From the Article Odinga claims to be related to Obama so there is a family connection there from what I gather. On a personal level though, I think Obama's life experience and his personal philosophy are in line with Odinga's and for him it would make perfect sense to help out a fellow marxist when it is not seen these days as anything other than a friendly trip to Kenya. One need only do a little research on Obama to understand that he is a marxist and I'm not talking about fringe web sites here. In fact what I found ammusing was his father met his mother in a Russian Class at U of H.

What a joke. Democrats don't stop complaining just because their guy won. So for example, gays aren't happy because Obama hasn't reversed Don't Ask Don't tell. So his popularity has slipped with them a little. And jobs are still going overseas. So unions are not thrilled. And single payer isn't getting a seat at the table.

But what would the GOP do on all of these issues?

Obama isn't going to accomplish everything he wants. But if he does half, then he has done more than any GOP'er would do.

The GOP would encourage/help jobs go overseas, they would continue don't ask and don't tell and they would keep for profit healthcare the way it is now.

So if Obama drops the ball on all three, he'll be just as good as any Republican would be.

But if he does fix even one of these problems, then he's better than any GOP'er would be.

If you are anti american labor, anti gay or anti healthcare reform, then really you are happy when Obama fails.

Isn't that right?

What are right wingers saying Obama failed at? Notice they like his failures because that means their side is winning.

Well, of course his popularity is down. He is just like a celebrity, not the Anointed One. :p
Oh and usually, when someone tries to take away freedom , promotes Socialist views, and lies about his religious affiliation, there popularity is down. Still many people still worship him. Remember Hitler? The guy responsible for the loss of 6 million innocent Jewish lives in the Holocaust? Well, he made great speeches too!

Shhhhhhhh... Navy... you'll wake the Sheeple...

Great post!

It won't impress the idiots... but a great post nonetheless...

Is it any wonder that congressional socialists are trying to get their socialized medical services and cap-n-trade scams post haste??

Please provide a list of the congressional officials that advocate and publicly work for the institution of the collective ownership of the means of production. :)

Well there's the Caucus of Congressional Representatives that just happen to be Black... most notably Maxine Waters... who recently professed her intention to "Socialize" (which the ignoramous misused... she meant to say "nationalize," but simply lacks a sufficient command of the language to even know the appropriate word) the Oil Industry... "And guess what this Liberal would be all about? This Liberal would be all about socializing…er, uh. [Pauses for several moments] …would be about… [pause] … basically… taking over, and the government running all of your companies."

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PKh7uqucArk]YouTube - Democrat Maxine Waters threatens socializing oil companies[/ame]

Beyond that, there's Bawney Fwank... Jerry Nadler, Linda Sanchez, John Conyers, Jan Schakowskyet, Jim McGovern, Delahunt, Napolitano, Wynn, Baldwin, Moore, Honda, ... and on and ON! Most of which, if not all in congress at the time... were in favor of requiring mortgage lenders to set aside long standing, sustainable actuarial lending principles, to loan money to unfit borrowers, which drove the cost of homeownership through the ROOF... lead directly to the housing bubble and BUST... most of which are also on record of the Federal government take-over of Chrysler and GM... and the same for the healthcare, financial services and energy industries.

In the Senate, there's Bernie Sanders... a self professed Socialist... and prior to their leaving the Senate to become PRESIDENT, ya had B. Hussein Obama... and Biden; leaving Leahy, Boxer, Reid, Fiengold, Fienstien, Reed, Schumer, Harkin, Whitehouse, Murry, Durbin and Stabenow... before they left for their respective positions... Ya had Laughtenburg and Clinton, who is long on record as being inf avor of nationalizing the US Healthcare industry; and so on...

Very true - there has long been a leftist/statist wing of the Democrat Party - but in the last decade, these figures have come to run the party, and when they were able to elect one of the most liberal among them to the White House - now run the country.

There will be a backlash to this - it is already beginning to foment in earnest.

This administration is in for a bumpy ride in the coming months, and there will be a few in the media starting to finally ask serious questions, to which this president will have too few answers.
