No clueless one. Iranian oil goes to Europe and other places. We get our oil from the US, Mexico and Canada primarily. Obama made Canadian oil harder to get here. Prices are up, so obviously production isn't high enough.

Iran is part and parcel with Aggregate supply. If Europe isn't getting it from Iran..it will go elsewhere..namely to one of the other oil producers.

In any case..that's NOT what's causing the spike. What is causing the spike is speculation. Companies are buying up oil. Simple as that. They are using world events to create a panic and short supply.
