Notably Absent from Obama's Budget: Deficit Commission Recommendations

"The commission's majority report includes a number of specific proposals that I - along with my economic team -- will study closely in the coming weeks as we develop our budget and our priorities for the coming year," Obama said.

Yet Monday morning when the budget was released -- $3.73 trillion billion budget with $1.1 trillion in spending cuts and tax increases over the next decade-- there were plenty of proposals, but none of them major adjustments to the so-called entitlements.'

Trying to deflect attention from the real reason, the civil war going on in the Republican party? If there's any failure here, it's because Cantor would rather knife Boehner in the back than bargain in good faith. if we go "over the cliff" Cantor and his minions will be taking the blame. Count on it.

Wow.

You want to pretend the Obama Administration was not taxed with the responsibility to come up with biparitsan solutions to solve our budget priority crisis, which he completely FAILED at doing and the results of said failures now manifest themselves as HIS FAILURE to lead us in managing priorities?

Obama is one of the most pathetic leaders in our history.

This notice just came in my email an hour ago:

'Employee Social Security Rate Set to Increase in 2013

The Middle Class Tax Relief and Job Creation Act of 2012 that was signed into law on February 22, 2012 is set to expire on December 31, 2012. Upon this expiration, the employee social security rate will increase from 4.2% to 6.2%. ***** will use 6.2% for payrolls with check dates in 2013 unless a legislative change is announced.

Please know that we are closely monitoring this legislation and will share additional information as it becomes available.

If you have questions, please contact your payroll specialist.'

Just the beginning of the shit hitting the fan for the working class.

Hell to pay for the HMFIC.

He is only responsible for things he can control. If there is no bipartisan solution, then he can't possibly propose one.

What "adjustments" should there be?

This is up to the leader of our Nation to help figure out.

But as usual, he punted and is now swimming in Hawaii.

Nah, I think the people who want these "adjustments" oughtta say what they want them to be.

No other POTUS gets such a pass, do they?

Honestly, I have no idea what are you talking about.

Name a POTUS in our history who was not held accountable for the things which happened under his watch.

In what way Reagan was held accountable for his deficits (or for his recessions of early 80s)? And those thing were under his control.

And there nothing Obama can do if a bipartisan solution to fiscal cliff simply does not exists.

They were his deficits, as Libtards remind us everyday in here. And Reagan was in big trouble during the throws of the recession.

You can't name a single POTUS not held accountable for what goes down in his Administration, can you?

Kind of hard to bargain in good faith when Reid says every plan the Republicans have put forward will be DOA in the Senate and Obama says he will veto them if they make it to him. That said I will repeat what I said last night screw Boehner, Reid, Obama, the Democrats and Republicans none of them care about solving this problem so I'm ready to go over the cliff and let the chips fall where they will.
