Obama does it again

Dead weight in the house? Hmmm...seems to me since the senate and house are split I see things differently as things are stopped when they reach the threshold there. Dems had control over both for two years what is the excuse then?

Correction they had 4 years of control 2007 to 2011
But two with a dumb...er...I mean a dem president

R and D what has obama done that was different than bush? With exception of making it worse with his failed policy?

simple arithmetic tells me if you created 4.5 million jobs there's no way unemployment would be at 8.3 percent

President can't create jobs unless they are government positions. Unless that president has businesses of his own prior to that and because of the regulations and policies put in place allow economy to be stimulated creating growth and jobs. Maybe Michelle should get credit for that since she purchases so many expensive things...she ends up employing quite a few and man the amount of fabric needed for her ample behind probably can feed an average family for quite the stretch. Get it stretch...Michelle behind! Bahahaha

The thing also is that the republicans don't have any other thing to campaign on against him, he does everything better than they do:

national security:
- he killed Bin Laden
- he had a dictator in north africa removed (Khadaffi) without spening a trillion dollars
- he didn't have another 9/11 , republicans call this an accomplishment

oil drilling:
- he s drilling more oil than ever before

the only thing I can think of is the current debt the republicans themselves helped create, making them huge hypocrites

The jobs market may be showing serious signs of improvement, in new statistics out Thursday morning.

The Department of Labor said that unemployment applications fell last week by 12,000, down to a seasonally adjusted 365,000. According to the Associated Press, a consistent number below 375,000 is seen as the number that suggests hiring is strong enough to lower the unemployment rate.

In addition, the ADP National Employment Report announced that employers added an estimated 201,000 private-sector jobs in August, according to Reuters, far surpassing the original expectation of 140,000.

You were right about one thing, he did it again, 368,000 more people gave up on finding work. At least he is trying, bless his heart.

That's one way of looking at it. Another way, and closer to the truth, is that despite the Republican controlled house voting down any and every jobs bill, the economy still managed to create 97K+ jobs last month.

Imagine how much further ahead we would be if the House Of Representatives wasn't controlled by Republicans.

Neither is the size of Michelle Obama's ass.

but we've been assured the economy is improving every month since 1/09

except for when the ue figures have to be revised upward *unexpectedly*

20Jan09, we were losing 750,000 jobs a month. The market had lost half it's value.

Yes, less than 100,000 jobs is an anemic rate of growth, but beats what the GOP gave us by far. And the market is back to where it was in 2000.

5 perecent average Bush's whole presidentcy. It has been well over 8 for the entiry of Obama. What happened? The democrats took over congress in 2006 that's what happened. They had a super majority and wouldn't even say hi to Bush and he turns out to be more left in somethings then Obama.

Ah, such a naysayer. It will go up as the economy improves.

You people are simply amazing, there was a world wide turn down in ALL economies in 2007-8 no one could have stopped it from happening. Kinda of like you folks are saying no one could have fixed it in 4 years as if the President can "fix" it. He and congress can merely get out of the way, Obama didn't and we were lead into the longest and weakest recovery in history. He could have been a hero but turned out to be a zero. We told you what would happen and it has. Did anyone think that even with the democrats meddling that the economy would not recover? History shows it should have recovered faster and sooner then it did. There is only one party that was in power the whole time, the democrats. Besides what makes you think the economy is recovering, 8.1 percent reported? Really? I will bet you that the number will be revised upwards next week.

Good for the Republicans if they actually did do that. The only problem is that if they did that it gives Obama and excuse as if he needed one. Obama's administration said that if the stimulus was passed that the unemployment rate would not exceed 8 percent and exactly the opposite has happened. Same with a jobs bill what the f..k is the government going to do to create jobs by spending more money on nothing? He had the stimulus money borrowed from our grandchildren and as of last report that wasn't all spent. Obama himself said that the lie about shovel ready jobs was in reality a lie they were not ready.

So what the democrats would have us believe that doing more of the same will result in a different outcome, BS.

Yep...when in the hole stop digging!

Yes, we could look at it that way, if we ignored the fact that the Republican controlled House actually passed quite a few jobs bills, then we would have to ignore the fact that Harry Reid tabled Obama's jobs bill to work on a bill to punish China, and that the Obama jobs bill is so bad that Democrats are refusing to vote for it. Unfortunately, I live in the real world, so we can't do that.

You still can though, bless your heart.

notice this quote says unemployment applications fell. It does not say employment has risen. This means that last week 12,000 more people are now out of benefits and no longer being tracked. It does not mean those people found gainful employment, it means they are droppe from the tracking system.
