Obama Crony GE Exempt From New EPA Regulations

Was Glenn Beck running for Congress? I missed that. What state?

And the U.S. Flag is hardly the equivalent of a Styrofoam Pillar, bub.

The TP'ers are the latest Hopey changeys and there will be more before the 2012 election.
Who will the next bunch be?
TP again and Dems I expect as well.

Hardly. The Tea Party is an authentic grass roots movement. Despite a few high profile personalities, many of whom are "hitching a ride", most activity is done by local, private individuals who are fed up with Big Government.

That's why the Dems and the left are terrified of them.

Quelle Surprise.

Jeffrey Immelt, CEO of GE and newly appointed head of Obama's Council on Jobs and Competitiveness, seems to have found a way to enable his company to create jobs and compete...by being exempted from legislation which is crippling other companies.

How Hopey Changey, WTF?

Last month, the Obama EPA began enforcing new rules regulating the greenhouse gas emissions from any new or expanded power plants.

This week, the EPA issued its first exemption, Environment & Energy News reports:

The Obama administration will spare a stalled power plant project in California from the newest federal limits on greenhouse gases and conventional air pollution, U.S. EPA says in a new court filing that marks a policy shift in the face of industry groups and Republicans accusing the agency of holding up construction of large industrial facilities.

According to a declaration by air chief Gina McCarthy, officials reviewed EPA policies and decided it was appropriate to "grandfather" projects such as the Avenal Power Center, a proposed 600-megawatt power plant in the San Joaquin Valley, so they are exempted from rules such as new air quality standards for smog-forming nitrogen dioxide (NO2).

There's something interesting about the Avenal Power Center:

The proposed Avenal Energy project will be a combined-cycle generating plant consisting of two natural gas-fired General Electric 7FA Gas Turbines with Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSG) and one General Electric Steam Turbine.

This can't be true.

Truthmatters, rdean, Bass v 2.0 and all the other left wingers tell us every damn day, that the RNC is owned by big corporations.

pfft

obama is GE bitch, and the dems are about to learn he aint the man they thought this junior senator was.

Hope and change = Smoke and mirrors.

Damn that's as insider as you can get. Get hired to work for America but don't quit your other job, then exempt your company from paying what most others are paying to increase profits, that will increase the stock value that will put more money in his pocket.

Dems,

Don't forget to vote straight (D) next time, since you must love being owned by your own people.

What they are does not matter. They are a hopey changey group.
they generate hope of change in their membership.

Beck is a hopey changey leader/preacher.

Beck is not the leader of the Tea Party.

It's quite sad that you equate wanting financially responsible limited government with blind worship of a Faux Messiah.

Well, Global Warming legislation is important for saving the planet. And we should enforce it all, unless you supported Obama, then you're exempt.

Just like all the Obama supporting unions who applauded Obamacare..............then asked for exemptions from it.

733 Exemptions for ObamaCare to date, and counting...

It is not the goal but the style of the message and the belief/faith of the followers.

sheesh.

You people have trouble sorting things out.
The style of the message and faith of the followers vs the goal for instance.

Damn programming is hard to compete with.

Blind faith in bureacrats, a very scary thing.

General Electric also supplies the electrical generators in Wind Turbines, Wind Power has been exempt from EPA rules and regulations.

Imagine General Motors making millions of cars that will be used about 5% of the time as compared to conventional cars, literally millions of cars sitting unused. That is what Obama and the previous administration is doing for GE.

Any idea of the profit for General Electric, they get to sell a million electric generators that would be impossible to sell without the government.

Somebody should see how many times Al Gore got paid directly or indirectly to give a speech to GE or some company associated with GE, I get its millions of dollars.

When Obama leaves office, Speeches will make Obama the richest politician on earth.

A speech is the payoff.

How is that for Hope and Change
