Obama and McCain on CNN right now....

Obama's three priorities for America are the same as my own...get out of Iraq, develop American energy independence, and universal healthcare.

Getting out of Iraq will save us $200 billion dollars a year, developing American energy independence is the most important issue we face, and universal healthcare will also save us about $200 billion a year.

This is why I support Obama.

Your statement also supports Avatar's .....

Not really. For anyone that follows washington they know that Thomas is a lazy non thinker that has contributed nothing to the supreme court...

I guess you were born without a sense of irony ...

Only idiots would pick McCain as the winner... That is unless you want a rehearsed non thinking president....

They were both "prepared" and "rehearsed" for this ... you think they didn't have some idea of what they'd be asked? ... ever been on a job interview? ... admittedly, McCain did sound more rehearsed on some of his answers ... particularly his answers to marriage definition and abortion ... but so what ... rehearsed doesn't mean he hasn't thought about it ... I know ... let's call McCain a robot ... just like how Gore was labeled in 2000.

1) Will happen as Iraq gains more ground internally on security, rule, etc.... Though you DO know that like EVERY other place we have defeated in a foreign war, we will NEVER be totally gone. Right?
2) Developing energy independence for the future while also alleviating the energy issues now, as much as possible, is key. And no, tire gauges and 'hope' ain't going to do it. Obama is lacking on this in a big way.
3) Universal healthcare is not a right, sorry lib.... you want it, fucking pay for it.... don't expect someone to pay for it for you... and no, 'universal' healthcare kept on the same level of quality that our hospitals and doctors have, will not save us money... unless you want a socialist control system that doctors and medical companies will flee from, which will also do us absolutely no good...

1. 4,000 dead, 30,000 wounded, and $700 billion dollars wasted to set up a Shia government allied with Iran. Are we still in Vietnam?

2. Fuel conservation is the quickest and easiest way to solve the gas price problem. It's called the law of supply and demand. Demand is the most elastic part of that equation. Obama was right, you are wrong.

3. We already have universal healthcare, Brainiac. A patchwork, expensive, bloated, and inefficient version of it. Every other Western democracy has a single payer system because it is cheaper and better, but keep drinking the koolaid.

1) And you return with your blind, partisan sloganeering... as expected
2) Fuel conservation would have to be FORCED to work... AKA the socialist hindrance of freedoms... You and Obama are completely wrong for a free society.... conversation is to be applauded, but it is not the entire answer... sorry, reality outweighs your pipe dreams
3) No, we do not have universal healthcare asshole... again, keep drinking the koolaid where everyone pays for your checkups, or sex change operation

God, I'm watching Obama's part now. Can the guy get out a single sentence without stuttering and stammering every word? Well...maybe if he had his teleprompter...

Obama didn't stutter and stammer on every word ... it wasn't even remotely close to that ... he came off smooth ... it seems like you didn't even watch it and you are just making crap up ... or imagining what you saw ... I think you've been listening to too many AM radio edits of Obama speaking.

Folks, this was on last night. I find it a little amusing that people who consider themselves political sharks don't even bother to catch the news.

Really? Who has a better health care system, that is more accessible, with prompt treatment and higher quality treatment? Provide some stats and links, please.

Obama did ok...then McCain comes out and blows him away. McCAin actually provides answers, while all Obama does is theorize, hem and haw and talk his way around actually answering anything.

He is easy to look at though. I kept looking at the side of McCain's face and wondering....is he just grown that way, or is that a scar from maybe when all those jets on that aircraft carrier blew up and he was saving people? Or from his years in a POW camp?

Its a swollen gland---result of surgery

I love the assumption that a president needs to be young.

Pretty effectively illustrates the arrogance of youth.

Who said that?

The concern is McCain's medical history and that if he's elected he will be the oldest president to ascend to power ... not that the president NEEDS to be young ... however that's even defined.

I thought Reagan was older.
And I wasn't aware that McCain had any medical issues?

Oh, wait...he can't raise his arms above his shoulders and he has a knee that hurts in bad weather.

Gosh, that could really limit his ability to function as PRESIDENT.
