Obama and Cameron in on blocking heroic Kurds from fighting ISIS

“Some of America’s closest allies say President Barack Obama and other Western leaders, including David Cameron, are failing to show strategic leadership over the world’s gravest security crisis for decades.

Yet one can't deny that Iraq wants no arming of the rebels only Shia..
I can't help but notice the OP failed to mention the Senate voted down a measure to provide arms directly to the Kurds in June.

You see, it is ILLEGAL for Obama to provide arms directly to the Kurds. He is required by law to only provide arms to recognized sovereign governemnts.

I know how much you faux raging, fake scandalizers care about Obama doing things legally. You're constantly moaning how he is violating the Constitution and stuff, and here he is abiding by it, and you STILL complain.

Hypocrites.

And as always the irony impaired far left drones do not read what is posted..

The United States has blocked attempts by its Middle East allies to fly heavy weapons directly to the Kurds fighting Islamic State jihadists in Iraq,

Not sure how the far left can blame the senate for blocking other countries..

But leave it to the far left drones to trout out the "hate" of anything not far left..
The Iraq govt. doesn't want the heavy weapons given to Sunni militias, have you ever heard of them? Iraq?
Arming the Kurds would also provoke the Shia militias into attacking US interests in the region.
Yes, it's a quagmire of booby-trapped conclusions...

U.S. arms the Kurds in Iraq to fight U.S.-armed ISIS

Obama administration officials announced today that they are sending arms to Kurdish forces in Iraq to bolster their fight against the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

"ISIS has obtained some heavy weaponry, and the Kurds need additional arms and we're providing those — there's nothing new here,"said State Department representative Marie Harf.

But where did that heavy weaponry come from? As Vox reported, the U.S.'s bombing campaign against ISIS is destroying hundreds of millions of dollars' worth of U.S. weapons and other military equipment that had originally been given to the Iraqi military, but fell into the hands of ISIS militants as they gained control over a wide swath of the country.

In other words, the very equipment brought to Iraq by the U.S. following the 2003 invasion is now being used by ISIS terrorists to attack the Kurds, who in turn will be armed by further shipments of American weaponry.

A snake swallowing its tail.

Wow more far left propaganda do cover up the fact that Obama is a horrible leader..

Keep a close eye on Turkey especially. It's had it with all the money & weapons going to the Kurds. There could be much more chaos ahead. Turkey could make a move on Syria. It would be in its best interest to eliminate both the Kurds and ISIS. But more so the Kurds.

And what would those interests be?

Yet another right wing idiot chimes in:

First as several others have stated it was the SENATE to block the arms sales....
(the royal families) wants to slaughter other Sunnis and face the anger of its own shaky coalition within the country.

Third, what and who can really stop any of those ME countries from shipping or trucking or flying weaponry (which is probably US or Russian weaponry, anyway.)

Fourth, it is Turkey who would nix ANY shipments to the Kurds whom they consider to be their own "insurgents" and who have committed what Turkey considers terrorist acts.

Fifth, the only real force against ISIS was, is and will always be Iranians.

Sadly, most Americans continue to buy into everything their Government and its Corporate Media tells them. When it comes to ISIS, all you have to do is think about who 'didn't' fund and arm them. Then you're left with the realization of who did.

For instance, you know Russia, Iran, and Assad didn't. It certainly wasn't in their best interest to do so. Now, who does that leave as the culprits? Just follow the money.

Even more idiotic than usual......and that's a feat in itself.

The Kurds are about to get screwed again. Poor people can't win. The two reasons they're about to get screwed are...

(1) Turkey's pissed off about all the money & funding flowing to the Kurds. That's making the U.S. and Great Britain very nervous. Turkey could invade Syria and wipe out both the Kurds and ISIS.

(2) ISIS works for the U.S. And its usefulness hasn't run out yet. Syria isn't completely destroyed and Assad's still alive. So ISIS still has some work to do. The Kurdish gains against ISIS need to be halted a bit.

Says the far left drone that supports Obama illegal wars..

Actually I'm a bit pissed that Obama is not declaring war on Iceland and Switzerland.
Kind of disappointing, don't you think? (what a moron !!!).

Yes, the situation there is very complex....Kurds are not only in Iraq, bot Turkey, Iran and Syria. Kurds have gained quite a bit of revenue from the oil under their feet in northern Iraq, and their strength....both financial and because of ISIS also in warfare experience.....scares the hell out of all Kurdistan's neighbors.

See how the far left drones support the illegal wars of Obama and want thousands of dead US soldiers for their political cannon fodder?

That is why the far left is most dangerous religion on the planet..

Regardless who the next president is, US troops will be sent to the region, Just that Hilary will get a pass as they will still blame Bush!

Well said. Yeah, Turkey especially. The Turks are very angry at the U.S. and West for supporting the Kurds so much in recent years. The Kurds are on the rise. And that isn't sitting well with the Turks.

They may make a move on Syria. Take out both the Kurdish and ISIS threats together. I'm sure the West is now trying to placate Turkey by slowing the flow of cash & weapons to the Kurds. Turkey is considered a loyal long-standing Western Ally.

You're probably correct. But let's hope for the best. No Hillary and no more war.

Not so much with their open border to allow ISIS members to flow into the region, just that Obama has to wait until someone else does something before he can comment on that.

It will take France or some other country to denounce Turkey, before Obama will even address it.

War is now inevitable there, just that it will now costs much more blood and lives..

ISIS works for the U.S. Just follow the money. It all leads back to mainly Saudi Arabia, Great Britain, and the U.S. This stance against the Kurds proves that. ISIS was created to kill Assad. It could easily be defeated. But it's being allowed to run wild till it accomplishes its mission.

It is a bit of a Frankenstein, but it's controlled and contained for the most part. It's being allowed to claim some lands, while other lands are off-limits. It's being allowed to claim mostly Syrian territory. Its advances into Iraq have been stopped. It was ordered to turn back. Once Assad's dead, ISIS will either 'miraculously' disappear, or be hunted down and killed by its masters.

That's a crock.

The reason the US and limes don't want to arm the Kurds, is because fellow NATO member Turkey considers the Peshmerga a terrorist entity themselves. They don't want the Kurds armed any better than they are.
