RealClearPolitics - Obama & Romney: Favorable/Unfavorable

With Romney & Obama being so close in ideology I would think Mitt would be doing better in popularity. Man oh man Obama will have a field day with ole Romney... the battle between the progressive candidates of the GOP/DNC!!! It looks like Obamster is on his way to a 2nd term! Even if Obama losses we get "Obama Lite" with Romney!!!

we are talking 5% percent difference in polls with 3% correction range.

we got months to go

yep, let's just give it to him now. No need to have the November election. We should just skip it like Dumplin' Perdue (D) governor of North Carolina suggested.

It would save a lot of drama.

PPV worthy idea

take the latest rcp, lets say obama up by 5%

We have obama and mitt play 100 of rock paper scissors with obama starting with 5 wins.

We could have refs, half times, half time shows, on and on.

Romney closes in on Obama in new polls - Political Hotsheet - CBS News
In a Gallup/ USA Today poll of 12 swing states, Mr. Obama edges out Romney 47 percent to 45 percent -- that's within the poll's four-point margin of error and closer than Gallup's last swing state poll from March, when Mr. Obama held a nine-point lead.
Obama is losing steam.

On the critical issue of the economy, Romney has the advantage: In a direct comparison, 47 percent said Romney would do a better job managing the economy, while 44 percent said Mr. Obama would. As many as 60 percent said Romney would do a good job or very good job as president handling the economy over the next four years, while 52 percent said the same about Mr. Obama.
Romney is more trusted to handle the economy as President.

The states surveyed by Gallup and USA Today included: Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico,North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin.
