The Nelson Mandela School for Social Justice will debut in September 2014 at the Boys and Girls High School in Brooklyn, where cheering throngs met the newly freed Mandela in 1990 and gave him a hero's welcome in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood.

certain there will be or is now great discussion on where the statue must be placed.

not sure where MLK's or JFK's statues are located. wouldn't want to be responsible for making the decision. then a sculptor must be chosen and an appropriate quote. it will be a major undertaking.
