well looks like ny wanted to get rid of the pro palestian protestors. but what is al l this punching crap about? NY is so screwed up can not tell what is up or down their. geez

The police should be criticized here, definitely. Hitting someone with a closed fist runs the risk of the officer injuring their hand and the city taxpayers' being stuck with the medical bill. The taxpayers buy the police perfectly serviceable batons to smack ne'er-do-wells up side the head when this is called for.
